BECAUSE HE WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY!!!!

Seriously, don't be concerned about players burning a RS.  They are really handy for OL/DL and QB's - guys who need to mature/grow into thier man bodies, and those who need to process a complex offense better than anyone else on the field.  The playing time (read: snaps) that Higdon got as a Freshman helped him to be the best RB on the roster today.  It's okay to have burned that RS!!  When he's out of eligibility, Samuels will be ready to take over...

Being on the list of players that were able to see the field, however scarce, allowed him better participation in practice.  He saw, and ran, more of the offense than anyone that had no chance to get on the field did.  Granted - practice doesn't necessarliy translate to the field, but practice reps are better than no practice reps.  And they weren't scout team reps, either - where you learn the opponents plays.

If he's good enough to go pro he would leave after this year regardless if he had redshirted. Although he is very good I'm pretty sure he will be back next year. I honestly don't see any of our underclassmen leaving this year. Grant Perry is only one who I think will even consider, but doubt he leaves cause he would be lucky to be a 6th or 7th rd pick at this point.

He actually has dropped quite a few this season. Usually slot types that lack size and raw speed need to have Avant-like hands to cash in on a successful NFL campaign. I wouldn't count him out yet but he needs to catch everything that hits both hands going forward.

I could be wrong, but wasn't Isaac still sitting out because of transferring? Also, Derrick Green did next to nothing here and Smith and Drake are decent players, but you make it sound like there's no room for a good RB to get carries in a lineup like that.

Why did he want his gloves? Was he just trying to make Karan feel good or is there something I'm missing?

The books are better than the movies, but in my opinion cold mountain is one of the few where the movie is better. The acting in that movie is some of the best in the last 15 years. Jude Law's portrayal of me was spot on. Him not winning an oscar for best actor is still the biggest farce in Oscar history.

Pretty sure they aren’t supposed to do that in college either (gloves). All of the equipment has to be returned to the department for them to get the replacements. So if they want a new pair of gloves they have to return the old pair, etc. At least that’s how it was in 2006. Times change though

The last player to rush for 200 yards, getting the gloves from the next running back to run 200 yards that he wore in said game roughly 10 years laer.

I'll reply instead of negbang.  I guess.

He might've transferred.  There was a lot of worry that Denard would split when Rich Rod got fired.  His dad's insistence that he get his Michigan degree made a big difference, but I wonder if that would've been overridden if he had moved from QB (the reason he came to Mich to begin with was that RR assured him he'd play QB and not defensive back or somesuch).

I actually wonder if RR wouldn't have made that switch eventually. Devin was the better thrower/power runner, and the lack of a home run threat next to Denard in the read option was I think part of what limited the 2010 RR offense against top defenses. Denard+Devin, with Denard always a threat to take some wildcat snaps, would have solved that problem. Then again can't see Denard doing a lot of blocking.

Dangerous of course, having both your plausible QBs on the field, but probably very, very hard to stop
