For your reading pleasure.

Some interesting notes on:

  • Minnesota's defensive performance despite numerous injuries
  • Surprisingly strong secondary performance despite injuries.
  • Top Gopher wide receiver Tyler Johnson's YTD performance
  • Comments about the Gophers' stable of impressive running backs, Rod Smith, Shannon Brooks, Kobe McCrary.
  • Comments about rising star LB Thomas Barber (yes, that famous Barber family of athletes - Marion Barber, Marion Barber III, Dom Barber).

Also, Minnesota@Iowa Depth Chart here.

Looks like a lot of Minnesota players remain questionable for game @ Michigan this Saturday.

Their position players may actually be decent.  Their QB Conor Rhoda is the problem.  He looks to be the worst QB in the B1G from what i have seen thus far this season.  I don't anticipate him having a good game this Saturday night.

If we get up on them early and force them to throw, they will be in deep doo-doo.

keep the good vibe / mojo going...

I believe we will do so...

...erase the memories of the 2 night games (debacles) and create some good new ones with a MICHIGAN VICTORY !

of what will be week-to-week growth knowing full well there will be bad mixed with the good, but overall he should provide play of a quality significant to see us play our best ball in the last month of the season.  with that said, and thinking more-than-likely that is what will occur, I so hopw MN suffers a loss vs. UM but PJ and The Flecks will be a long-time fixture in the twin cities. Something about the man i like, or it could just be watching the 'common man' go from 50k a year to 200k a year to an instant millionaire, basically for being a good guy. cool story.

Not for Fleck - UF wants a bigger prize.  They fancy themselves a BlueBlood, and they'll not settle for a Fleck-type substance.  They'll be looking for a high scoring machine of an offense - something that Kevin Wilson might run.  Or Joe Moorehead.  And for some strange reason, Dan Mullen's name is out there.  I don't get that, but whatever...

I don't think Frost will be a player in this one, not pass-happy enough for UF alum.

Minnesota has often been the cure for what ails us.  Remember Gardner's debut?

Speight also made his first real appearance against the Gophers:

Interesting bit of foreshadowing by Brian in that game's offensive UFR:

And then Speight was decent, and now I want him to start for the rest of time until such time as he throws an incompletion, at which point I would like Brandon Peters to start.

the Minnesota players get one of those “How many of you were recruited by Michigan?” Pregame speeches.
