Running game looked how I thought it would look in year 3. Which is good. Anyone else realize drevno was on the sideline for this one. Hasn't he been in the booth the rest of the season?

On the poster who said that we wouldn’t want Peters to play because he is worse than OKorn, supposedly he had inside information on how bad he was...

In practice. That has a huge role in coaching decisions...see Joe Bolden v. Ben Gedeon over 2 separate coaching regimes.

Also seemingly apparent - Brandon Peters better in game situations than O’Korn.

I get that O’Korn might have looked better in practice; I get that Peters’ demeanor may not be what the coaches see as ideal; I get that - given those 2 facts - Harbaugh may have wanted to reward his RS SR transfer QB that could have left in the off-season. JOK opened the door for Peters with his play today and probably saw the end of his meaningful snaps at M.

True, but if you can't perform well against fucking Rutgers... I guess I'm saying that we don't know if Peters is good, but he did better than O'Korn against Rutgers. The same way we didn't know if O'Korn was was good, but I honestly don't think we win the Purdue game without him. Michigan just needs a backup QB to insert mid-game against everyone from here on out!

Decisive game plan, just ran it right through their interior. Could have won by 40 if O'Korn doesn't ruin two drives with fumbles or throw a pick.

before we decide whether or not to get the pitch forks out. If he leads us to wins against Minny and Maryland and a W against Wisconsin and/or OSU, this season is gonna turn into a big what-if.

That being said, this could also very easily just be a Purdue O'Korn type of performance. He had a couple dump off passes that seemed like a revelation because neither Speight nor O'Korn made them this season. He made decisive reads. But they were also really easy, and he had 1 bad read that should have been picked off, and 1 bad throw on the run that should have been a big play, probably a TD. We should all pump the breaks as hard as possible at this point.

That's reasonable as far as this year, but regardless, given how bad O'Korn was it is likely that Peters will be as good as his 3 YPA or whatever he's put up since Purdue. Plus O'Korn had what, 2 fumbles and an INT in like 6 passes and a dozen handoffs or something? Can't turn the ball over like that, especially with our defense. And Peters at least has the potential to improve and be an important piece the future, whereas O'Korn is about done.

This whole QB situation was just odd. I know it was 3 quarters, but the whole offense changed when he came in. I am curious about Peters going directly to Harbaugh after plays. Was he just coaching or does Peters not know all the signals?

as if they knew they finally had a chance.

There is no excuse for having given JOK so much rope IMO -- he's terrible. I found myself pining away for Stephen Threet!
