Man looks in the abyss, there's nothing staring back at him. At that moment, man finds his character. And that is what keeps him out of the abyss.

Or nah?
October 21st, 2017 at 11:48 PM ^
Might as well at this point. I'm extremely proud of O'Korn and the performance that he turned in tonight, he was put in a very tough position and did about as well as anybody could expect, but he's got no future upside at this point.
Peters is going to be one of the two (or three, depending on the Speight situation) competing for the starting quarterback spot next year, and it will be a much stronger team. Getting him experience now could mean the difference between a win or a loss in a close game next year, assuming he gets the nod.
October 22nd, 2017 at 12:04 AM ^
Honestly, I don't have a lot of confidence in O'Korn, so yeah. I'd rather see Peters out there if he brings anything at all to the table. The game just seems to move too fast for JOK.
October 22nd, 2017 at 3:37 AM ^
Actually nope. Because that just happened.
October 22nd, 2017 at 3:38 PM ^
Can't harp on Harbaugh too much for that... I wouldn't have put Peters in the game in that situation either. Seems likely more harm than good would have come from it.

Thanks for this!!! We really need it.
Hug your kids and/or significant others. Get a burger! Take care of yourselves. It's a game and it's fun and important, but we're all here and alive and get to love the hell out of this university!
Peace.

There's that positive attitude. Hey everybody, we're all gonna get laid!!

I blame Mr Yost. We haven't won a championship since he started his "open thread"
posts.

Last year. And next year, I expect we will run them out of Ann Arbor again.
GO BLUE!!

I mean, here's the bottom line. Losing sucks, yes. But our program has an unbroken record of 100% opposition to child rape. PSU does not - they publicly, repeatedly honor Joe Paterno, who is KNOWN to have covered up child rape for nearly 40 years - i.e. most of his adult life. They have not apologized, they have not repented. They continue to celebrate him.
Never, never forget. Never pretend they are just another team or just another rival. They are evil people who excuse evil, defend evil, and cover up evil. If I live to be 100, I will never forget and I will never forgive, not until they repent.
We may be frustrated by losing, but we still have our souls. That gives me comfort tonight.

I missed the game tonight. I was at work. Strangely I'm not upset at all.
This team will get better. Harbaugh is a great coach
October 22nd, 2017 at 2:20 AM ^
succinct, and so clairvoyant, in a time of mass hysteria and confusion. Bravo
October 21st, 2017 at 11:56 PM ^
I know a guy. Has trouble sleeping after watching a speed back in iso against a solid, but slower LB. Also has trouble sleeping after watching play action on 4th and 11 when down 3 scores. I could continue.
He'd really like to take two aspirin (or 5ths of bourbon) and wake-up in time for kick-off 9/1/2018 on the hopes of a competent set of WRs and QB. Got any suggestions?
Sincerely,
Asking for a friend

It must be rough to know that love will never be reciprocated.

What should I do if I turn on my tv next week and don't see Peters starting at QB?

Proceed as normal. That's not happening.
October 22nd, 2017 at 12:03 AM ^
Currently on the back porch nursing a cigar and a final glass of wine. I am finding my center again as I normally do with drinking and occasionally smoking. I don't know that I would be able to do it otherwise after a game like this. Well, modding this place helps me too as I realize there are people who clearly need to smoke more and drink more.
October 22nd, 2017 at 12:08 AM ^
May peace be with you and the mod responsibilities you have sir
October 22nd, 2017 at 12:08 AM ^
I also watched the Yankees lose to the Astros--and I've rooted for them since 1973. The pain was so intense, both cancelled each other out and switched off. Now I'm well again. And watching Washington State - Colorado!
October 22nd, 2017 at 12:14 AM ^
Aren't you supposed to be moderator and grief counselor? Not to be trusted Clarence ....
October 22nd, 2017 at 1:44 AM ^
Seconded on terrible sports weekend, albeit with a bit less time-on-task.
Made the mistake of considering a trip to NYC next weekend. It's my fault! I'm sorry!
October 22nd, 2017 at 12:36 AM ^
Thanks LSA for all your hard work. You're in for a night of dealing with random new troll accounts saying Harbaugh should go..glad we can trust you to silence them as you do a tremendous job!
October 22nd, 2017 at 12:29 AM ^
I'm going to roll over and spoon my wife and pass out. For someone who doesn't drink that's all I have.

My Wolverines and Yankees both get their ass wiped. Sports Suck.
October 22nd, 2017 at 12:35 AM ^
Fellow Yankee fan here. My hometown team and my alma mater lost AT THE SAME TIME. Both in excruciating fashion. What can you do--that's sportsball for you.
