Best thing you saw: Week 7
This weekend wasn't supposed to be very interesting, but someone forget to tell the college kids. Though Washington is still in a fight for undefeatedness with Sparky, it's time for me to call it an evening. There was still plenty of great things to see today (and yesterday)...
Non-M: with one top 10 and another top 20 losing, and lots of upsets in the books, this may be remembered as a pivotal weekend on the season (thank goodness we didn't get bit). With all the close games (OK, Miami, USC) and all the upsets ('Cuse, Cal, LSU, etc.) lots of potential best things to choose from. That said, my fave was Dino Babers post game speech after the Clemson upset. His enthusiasm and genuine passion made me a fan and was pure joy to watch.
M: Uh, Higdon. Duh. What a game. I also like how Walker ran the ball on his few opportunities.
What you got?

Promote Kareem Walker
Bench Chris Evans
Show O'Korn all the guys that are wide open on film
Tell the defense its the middle of the game (even when its the last few minutes) so they make a stop
Stop committing so many penalties
Wait I didn't even answer your question.
I am gonna go touch myself as a punishment.

The run game moving against a decent defense.
Everyone else having just as hard of a time playing inferior opponents as we are.

and another top 10 team goes down. Incredible play by ASU to get the first down and ice the game too. Todd Graham has steel nuts and went for it on 4th and 3, which I love.
This is shaping up to finally be the year a 2-loss team makes the playoff. Should have happened last year. Only a matter of time. With few (one?) dominant teams, it's very much up for grabs.
We're going to be playing the #2 ranked (!?!!?!?) team next week in Happy Valley? Didn't expect that. Let's get one of the those top 5 upsets.

To be honest, that was an incredibly lucky completion.
But to have a chance at that completion, you have to go for it, so that does derserve some credit.

Ain't no way he planned that! I'm fairly certain he airmailed past his intended target. That's what happens when you mess around, Washington, and it nearly happened to us as well.

Higdon looked Hartesque on that OT run - hiding, waiting, then finding the opening. Also, no turnovers and no sacks.

It seems that everyone, save Bama, has looked shitty at some point this year.

Didn't realize he was that fast, at least relative to the Indiana D. He also "runs heavier" than he looks. Developing into a really dependable RB.

all game long, popping two big TD runs and others making 4-5 yds. when it looked like there was little to be had. Michigan Defense made such a great goal line stand from inside the 2 stuffing IU on 4 plays to win the game.
Non M: the 3 top 10 upsets showing again in college football the unexpected happens often.
All road conference wins are very good wins.

- That, for the most part, pre-season, college football rankings are useless.
- That MichiganMan14 was right about how good Karan Higdon could be for Michigan, despite Karan not having been considered a higly rated recruit.
- That, with Dino Babers, Syracuse finally might’ve found a good head football coach after the Cuse have been a wreck of a football program during most of the 21st century.
- That military veterans have been volunteering to deliver aid and comfort to people in remote areas of Puerto Rico, still suffering in the wake of devastating hurricane damage.
- That acceptance this week in a clinical trial might not prolong my life, but that it eventually might help others, so that would be nice.

Agree about Preseason rankings. Bama only team living up to their ranking

I'm not terminal, but I have a short-term life expectancy as I near my 70th birthday, knowing that each of my two, most-recent, paternal ancestors died at age 70.
I've been lucky to see my children graduate from college (one's a Double Wolverine).
Not so long ago, I thought that I'd never live to see either the Red Sox or the Giants win another World Series championship (and then 2004, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014 happened). I've told my doctors that I'd like to live long enough to see Arsenal finish first again in the Premiership, Michigan win another college football championship, an American man win another Wimbledon singles championship and a native Bostonian win the Boston Marathon.
If there's a drug that can keep me alive to see the USA men's team win the World Cup, then, especially after this past week, it probably will have to be a miracle cure.

was the run game, Higdon and the O-line looked much better this week to my uneducated eye.
Worst was Nebraska, wow they are terrible and they should feel bad.

Evans is still a great weapon, he's still a homerun hitter, but he should be used similarly to how he was used against Purdue. In the 4th where the other team is gassed.
