OT: Ale to the Victors
Well the first batch of "Ale to the Victors" is in the fermenter. This recipe is a cream ale which includes actual flaked maize. My thoughts are to have a cream ale and a pale ale at the UConn game this year for people to sample and decide on a winner. I'm still looking for help on designing a label, if anyone is interested. Hope to see you all at the opener! Go Blue!!
I don't even like beer and I feel like I want to drink this.
Warren is still on the board....good enough reason to drink for me.
For you with that name for a beer. A local brewery with that name? Holy shit. I hope you have the patent papers filed.
(pun intended) that no one has thought of this before.....
Nice.
The name of your brew is so powerful that a fussy label design will only detract. Think of the best brands -- Apple, IBM, Coke -- simple images and crisp design. Michigan football as a "brand" is similarly powerful and simple: the most successful football program in college history.
The color scheme cannot seriously be in doubt. On the reverse side of the label it would be interesting to generate unique facts, quotes, or statistics about Michigan's winning tradition for each label. In that way, each experience with "Ale to the Victors" will be as unique as the brew. Good luck, and save a few for me!

I like the quotes/fact idea. I may have to use that.
If you ever wanted to open a bar with that name in Ann Arbor, I will be your partner. That's the greatest name ever.
