One positive about tonight, the fans brought it
October 8th, 2017 at 1:22 AM ^
That's swell
October 8th, 2017 at 2:29 AM ^
season, I'm actually pretty pleased that we did our part this time around.
October 8th, 2017 at 9:24 AM ^
Watching on TV best crowd response I've heard since the ND games at night. Crowd was amazing and the student section brought it times 10. The rain didn't even deter them. Now let's go get an OC (Jedd Fisch please) and return to glory.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:23 AM ^
When it started pouring and the defense was on the field, getting everybody hype, that was awesome. And then the offense came back out and went 3 and out and ruined it.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:24 AM ^
And never gave up.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:25 AM ^
thats great, we need to win football games. the atmosphere SHOULD be like that for a primetime game against a rival.... anything different would be embarrassing, just like the offense
October 8th, 2017 at 2:28 AM ^
Deep hand off up the middle into a mass of Lloyd ball.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:25 AM ^
Let's keep it up and put a lid on booing during future home games. These are formative times for our young players, so let's give them a fan base to appreciate and be inspired by. However they may struggle in upcoming games, they don't need to be booed.
October 8th, 2017 at 2:47 AM ^
I'm literally keeping my season tickets to boo...fuck this team and Harbaugh.
October 8th, 2017 at 8:35 AM ^
you don't belong
October 8th, 2017 at 12:02 PM ^
go root for sparty thug. We won't miss fans like you.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:27 AM ^
Fuck this
October 8th, 2017 at 1:27 AM ^
It's what they're supposed to do. I'm not gonna give major kudos for doing what you're supposed to do. Like, "congratulations! You're not in jail!".
October 8th, 2017 at 1:37 AM ^
We’re Michigan so Night games are a foreign concept remember? We had pussies in here afraid of what Msu fans would do to them in pioneer woods for fucks sake at OUR OWN DAMN HOME VENUE.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:42 AM ^
"You're supposed to take of your kids, you dumb motherf*****!"
October 8th, 2017 at 1:52 AM ^
Ha I was trying to remember where I first heard that joke. Thought it was Katt Williams, of course it was Rock
October 8th, 2017 at 2:10 AM ^
"what you want, a cookie?!?"
October 8th, 2017 at 1:30 AM ^
Fucking participation ribbon.
Get this shit out of here.
October 8th, 2017 at 8:34 AM ^
Yeah, the O sucked and we lost. It happens, and except for '97 we lose games every year. Yes, it was MSU again, take a breath and grow a pair. There is nothing wrong the OP noting that the crowd was outstanding. It was outstanding. We lost. They're not mutually exclusive and you're not the boss. So STFU and let other M fans note other things. Or maybe you'd prefer to just keep reading about how bad the offense is. Whatever.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:30 AM ^
No, the crowd was there and given what they were witnessing and experiencing (a monsoon) it was surprising. I’ve been going to the big house for nearly 50 years and this was one of the most enthusiastic crowds ever.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:33 AM ^
Except for this prick behind me that I had never seen in my section before kept saying, “I can’t stand up all game, can you please sit down?” Seriously tired of that shit.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:33 AM ^
was completely electric. A world of difference from the usual tea sipping and polite golf-clapping crowd I'm more used to in Michigan Stadium.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:03 PM ^
Night Games.
They're not just for Penn State.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:33 AM ^
The at atmosphere was awesome. If we connect on that Hail Mary it would have been an all time classic. Now even if we do win the game on the last play we still have to face the fact this offense is awful right now. Dantonio was content to punt the ball every drive up 4 for the last 20 minutes. Yes the weather was a huge factor, but when someone feels confident that a 4 point lead for 20 minutes you have problems.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:34 AM ^
Crowd had more heart than anyone on offense. Shouldve rounded up a random 11 and probably done just as well
October 8th, 2017 at 1:35 AM ^
If I was in front of my laptop instead of on my phone I would post a gif of a guy high-fiving himself right now.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:35 AM ^
I feel bad for these fucking kids these days.
Hell I used to be mad in the early/mid 2000s when we lost a game, and we actually won the conference and beat msu all the time.
All these kids have seen lately is fucking garbage.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:52 AM ^
I'm 45, if I used a time machine to go back 20 years to tell myself my fervent wish as a UM fan in 2017 is to someday win our fair share of games against MSU again, 25 year old me would be stunned and dismayed.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:05 PM ^
Me too.
But then I would have been immediately cheered up when the 45 year old me told me to buy Apple stock and this thing called "Google".
October 8th, 2017 at 1:53 AM ^
If you see a Michigan fan under 20 dap him up. Being loyal to what in your lifetime has been a Northwestern level product gots to be tough
October 8th, 2017 at 2:12 AM ^
People get on me for being a jackass and too quick with the hot takes, but yes I’ve only ever witnessed 2 wins over MSU and 1 over OSU (barely even counts they sucked under Fick).
Now if we’re talking ND I can say I witnessed a solid 4 Ws before the shut out abomination that tonight was all too similar too.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:36 AM ^
I’m glad someone created this thread because I thought the same thing. The fans showed up, and stayed even in a monsoon, when the offense was terrible. That was the worst weather I’ve ever sat through that was above 40 degrees in 30 years of going and hardly anyone left! If only the o line showed up the way the fans did!
October 8th, 2017 at 1:38 AM ^
Not where I was sitting. Section 39 was the only section sitting in the whole stadium. Old dude behind me asked me and my dad to sit down at some point in the 4th quarter. I looked back at him and said "you do realize we are the only section that's sitting, right?" Grouchy lady next to him made some snarky comment about the section next to us. Think I'm gonna transfer my seats next year.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:44 AM ^
I had hoped we were all done with the old guard who wants to sit all game and golf clap. Turns out, they all showed up for a night game and got pissed that people were into the game.
October 8th, 2017 at 2:07 AM ^
I’m in 39 too and stood quite a bit! Loved that the fans cheered. In some crazy way, I think the rain actually helped
October 8th, 2017 at 6:28 AM ^
Are you closer to the field? If say from about row 50 on up everyone sat just about the entire game. This seems to be the case for just about every game. I'd been hoping it would change for the bigger games but nope.
October 8th, 2017 at 11:35 AM ^
I'm in 39 higher up and can confirm they are mostly terrible sitters. Yesterday I even got yelled at for standing during the halftime show, which is usually the only time I get to straighten my back out for more than a couple minutes.
Also, I have the worst row in the history of football. I'm on the aisle and I put up with a constant stream of people coming and going all game. Doesn't matter if it is during play or not. Many of them are usually plenty late for kickoff too; I even commented to my dad how shocked I was the whole row seemed to be present for kickoff.
October 8th, 2017 at 1:44 AM ^
What amazes me is that even with the whiny fanbase Michigan has, 110,000+ stayed for the monsoon without the bat of an eye, and yet the team doesn’t react AT ALL or get pumped up from that.
They were upset about booing weeks ago, and now here we are in a heavy rainstorm cheering for them hard, even with them not looking that good, and yet they can’t produce on that stage.
October 8th, 2017 at 2:00 AM ^
The defense was very good to great. This is only an offense issue. Can't say "team". Need to say "offense".
October 8th, 2017 at 11:27 AM ^
But did you just call yourself,"a whiny lil B?" I concur!
October 8th, 2017 at 1:58 AM ^
#millenials? Jk.
I still love the team and will wait for our national championship turn. When Harbaugh came to Michigan I guessed 2018 would be our year. Hope that’s accurate...
October 8th, 2017 at 2:06 AM ^
My first game, drove from Nashville. The atmosphere was great, I had a blast even in the rain. Unfortunately the offense sucked
October 8th, 2017 at 2:36 AM ^
The crowd stayed throughout that torrential monsoon. It was an awesome environment
October 8th, 2017 at 1:08 PM ^
Yes. A crowd that good deserves to boo once in a while.
They earned it.
October 8th, 2017 at 2:53 AM ^
Would've been cool if harbaugh brought a game plan
October 8th, 2017 at 3:20 AM ^
Wow the crowd was loud! I love moral victories over meaningless BS.
October 8th, 2017 at 9:38 AM ^
Crowd really wasn’t that loud until the 4th quarter, student section was pretty depressed the entire time. We have all seen this show where the offense is pathetic and the defense is great, and when we went down we all knew that scoring 11 points was very unlikely.
October 8th, 2017 at 7:53 AM ^
Good job for them for doing what they were supposed to do.
October 8th, 2017 at 8:09 AM ^
Of life
October 8th, 2017 at 9:03 AM ^
particularly through the monsoon, no one left and crowd stayed loud whole game.
