11 point lead and this offense is such a piece of shit it feel insurmountable
October 7th, 2017 at 9:28 PM ^
When they were driving I felt like if MSU scored to go up 21-3 the game was over. Michigan doesn’t have the offense to score three TDs against a bad defense and definitely not vs. a good defense.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:21 PM ^
Worst half of Harbaugh football since 2015 OSU. Before that might be strecthing into the Hoke years.
How that f'ing program gets up for this game every year while we come out timid and afraid is beyond me. WTF did we do during the bye week
October 7th, 2017 at 9:24 PM ^
That's the thing though we came out strong and hit them in the mouth on O and D. Then Isaac fumbled and somehow the teams switched brains.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:29 PM ^
Michigan field goal, MSU 3 & out, Michigan driving looking like it'll be 6-0 at worst...and Isaac fumbles and the whole game has been a shitshow since. It's like we were pretending to be tough and then as soon as someone punched us in the mouth we curled up in a ball and cried
October 7th, 2017 at 9:30 PM ^
It changed on those two garage fade calls on the opening drive. They were rolling and decided to call THAT. Those fades to the sideline have not worked at any point the entire season. Take that page out of the playbook and light it on fire.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:34 PM ^
Worked once. OKorn threw one against UF
October 7th, 2017 at 9:25 PM ^
Hey, at least all these recruits get to see what they should expect if they come here.
October 7th, 2017 at 10:41 PM ^
Fire every one of these motherfuckers connected to the offensive staff. If you are too fucking daft to understand that passing in the middle of a fucking monsoon is an awful idea then you have no business being a coach.
This is beyond anything Brady Hoke ever did.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:21 PM ^
Improvement week?
October 7th, 2017 at 9:30 PM ^
They improved at being even worse on offense.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:21 PM ^
Hafltime adjustments . . . please!
October 7th, 2017 at 9:49 PM ^
defense yes, offense no so far
October 7th, 2017 at 9:21 PM ^
Harbaugh has to fire Drevno. The OL is terrible and regressing. This is year 3. Fuck your if you don’t agree with me, take your homer glasses off.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:24 PM ^
but has done nothing in Ann Arbor that makes me think he's worth keeping. Harbaugh needs to fire Drevno (and maybe Pep and maybe Jay)
October 7th, 2017 at 9:27 PM ^
Demote him to just OL coach might be acceptable. OC duties taking too mch time from OL coaching?
October 7th, 2017 at 9:30 PM ^
Nothing on offense has been particularly good in 3 years. Other teams do far more with far less (see: the team kicking our ass right now). I can't think of anything Drevno's done in Ann Arbor to justify him staying
October 7th, 2017 at 9:32 PM ^
If you’re going to demote him just fire him outright. It’s not like the play calling has been bad and the OL has been good. Both things he’s in charge of are the worst part of the team.
Fire fucking Pep Hamilton too. Whatever influence he’s brought to the offense has been god awful. Why we thought bringing in an offensive mind from the Browns was a good idea, I’ll never know.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:24 PM ^
MSU OL is out playing ours. not like they are playing a bunch of seniors. we need to expect more from our OL instead of making excuses about their youth or being Hoke recruits.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:39 PM ^
true but theyre playing better across the board. 245 lb walkon DEs dusting the OL for quick pressures really hurts - but so does evans blowing another fairly standard pass pro. its the same stuff with state blitzing LBs to generate pressure, m needs to attack it quickly and confidently. solid rhythm to start with some nice runs early but they look disjointed since.
also getting outcoached. state attacking all 4 LBs and also taking advantage of winovichs aggressiveness - fix that and theyre ok. mccray still a weakness but thats him. love most everything about browns D but def not mccray on perimeter covering #1-2 WR (or dalvin cook). state looks more aggressive and faster which shouldnt be the case - they can flip it 2nd half but m has to step on gas and rip the game away.
no turnovers and its a different story. clean things up, play smart, fast and tough and see what happens
October 7th, 2017 at 9:42 PM ^
The outcouching is the most obvious and most disappointing part of all of this.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:50 PM ^
agree 100% he hasnt shown anything in his time here and this is starting to get embarrassing
October 7th, 2017 at 9:53 PM ^
oops double post
October 7th, 2017 at 9:22 PM ^
Spotted them 11. Big fucking deal. 2nd half team all season.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:22 PM ^
Second half team? The weather is going to make this painful.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:22 PM ^
you haven't saved him yet!
ugh
October 7th, 2017 at 9:22 PM ^
2nd half is going to wake us up! Let’s go Blue!
October 7th, 2017 at 9:22 PM ^
Dude, we look like shit.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:34 PM ^
MSU has been by far the better coached and prepared team this game. Really not close. Mostly doing whatever they want against Michigan on both sides of the ball.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:22 PM ^
Right side of o line is MAC talent ! Zero excuses year 3 with no o line
October 7th, 2017 at 9:23 PM ^
Dude its not MAC is Div II talent
October 7th, 2017 at 9:25 PM ^
True after second thought
October 7th, 2017 at 9:25 PM ^
I wish it were MAC level
October 7th, 2017 at 9:22 PM ^
Next year.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:23 PM ^
That's what it amounts to
October 7th, 2017 at 9:37 PM ^
Maybe. I use to think that, but as bad as the OL is I’m not sure if the offense can take a step forward to be championship caliber. They remind me A LOT of Florida State. Their OL killed them last year, they returned a lot of talent this season, and the OL stayed bad and now they are 1-3.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:22 PM ^
We soft. They are whipping us physically.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:43 PM ^
Thought that too. Whole team just looks soft.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:23 PM ^
looks really slow. that extra week off hurt us!
October 7th, 2017 at 9:23 PM ^
For all the Speight sucks folks, it is clear that the o line can't protect shit. It's like I said, you could have Jesus as our QB and nothing will happen.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:30 PM ^
Need a big stop right away, and most likely get some decent field position out of it. Then run Captain America to open things up. Look for Perry...he’s open almost every time.
All else fails, look for Jesus.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:32 PM ^
he's held onto the ball too long at times, sure, but he's also been a clear improvement
October 7th, 2017 at 9:35 PM ^
Speight would be doing so much worse than Okorn it makes my brain hurt
October 7th, 2017 at 9:23 PM ^
It's storming bad in Lansing
October 7th, 2017 at 9:24 PM ^
System is in Jackson/Lansing. Need to win the third quarter significantly, because the fourth isn't happening (for a while?)
October 7th, 2017 at 9:23 PM ^
made no sense. we were losing, yes, but why get desparate all of a sudden??? stay with what worked. this was vintage borgesian playcalling. just overthinking it.
combined with zero improvement from the OL and you get trouble.
combined with undisciplined defense and sparty making big plays, you get this trainwreck.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:24 PM ^
There is still a half to play. However we have to play much better.
It's possible. Not over til all zeroes.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:24 PM ^
I can't believe we're LUCKY to only be down 11.
Wake the fuck up guys. That was an atrocious half of football.
October 7th, 2017 at 9:24 PM ^
This game is a game changer for the trajectory of the staff. Feels very Borges/Hike right now.
