He is an idiot. My goodness. Rod answered the question like 4 times, and then he gets his family involved. He is a jerk just like the FOX ppl said.

but he won't. This jackass is the EXACT reason the sports newspaper business is dying. Nobody likes getting tormented by their hometown media on a regular basis, and Detroit has gotten worse and worse about this.

I found out that a lot of Lions fans just follow the team to make fun of them...by yelling the same thing over and over again for four quarters. There's definitely folks out there who like reading these whiny, negative articles.

That said, I thought Rod's joke was pretty funny. Too bad you could tell he decided last night he was going to say that since the comment didn't really make sense after Marinelli assumed responsibility for the defense.

I have to admit, being a long time Lions fan and ashamed to see my Lions as the worst in the history of the NFL, I am impressed how Rod Marinelli handled himself with Parker's stupidity and class-less behavior. Marinelli has been poised all throughout this season and has not made an excuse. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sure he belongs as a NFL head coach but I do respect him during this terrible season.

As much as Rod cusses up and down that sideline, I am surpised he didn't drop an FU right there. And then beat his A$$ because you know Rod has "Old Man Strength". After losing my 15th straight, I would want to fight. Parker gave him every reason to throw down. Shockingly funny though.....Suprised he did not go Hal Mcrae......

Rob Parker repeatedly asked Marinelli about why the defense coordinator still had a job. Marinelli answered him repeatedly, saying that he (Marinelli) runs all the meetings and that he (Marinelli) is to blame. Parker then made a comment about Marinelli's family

Backpedal, backpedal, backpedal. Detroit really deserves better than Parker, Valenti, Foster, and all the other douchebags in the local sports media.

And I quoth:

"...I have asked Marinelli on numerous occasions if he's going to fire his son-in-law.

Every week, Marinelli says the same thing.

"No.""

Week after week of the same inquiry with the same response. Impressive. And this is where the eagle soars:

"It's almost a running joke. A news conference isn't complete unless I ask it."

This guy makes Mark May look humble. How freaking self-inflated a statement is that? I think he is on to something ... but the joke is on him.

I can't miss an opportunity to trash this clown. I can't think of a sports personality from Detroit I disdain more. I don't remember seeing a single article of his I ever remotely liked or agreed with. His questions have no logic and he's just trying to make a spectacle of things. Is Joe Barry the secret root of all the Lions woes. Why would firing Joe Barry with a week left in the season help anything? Garbage. The way he uses his "moles" to say anything he wants and nobody seems to care is infuriating. Especially when so-called journalists scoff and mock the internet for being worse than tertiary.

What pisses me off most is parker always showing up on espn. Why do they have to pick the worst Detroit has to offer. I wish the news would have fired him to save money instead of cutting off delivery.

I think Parker also was the one who reported that MSU's backup QB was involved in the big brawl (you know, the one that MSU never suspended anyone for) between the football and hockey teams.

Except said QB was a couple hours away at the time. Unless MSU's backup QB is The Flash or can teleport (in which case the entire Big Ten is fucked for the next few years, and also in which case I wonder why the hell they were still playing Hoyer), that made it pretty impossible for him to have been involved.

Parker sucks.
