Noon Games (open thread) + Viewing Schedule

Improvement Week. But still...get'up, it's GAMEDAY! Blacksburg, VA WAS ROCKING (for ESPN College Gameday)!

Not a GREAT week of football, but it could be worse...it could be June. Besides, some potentially sneaky good games or close games like the one last night.

EDIT: Changed from ESPN College Gameday (open thread) to Noon Games (open thread)

Saturday, September 30

I just checked the weather in Blacksburg, 53...high of 70. All sunshine. I couldn't be more jealous.

Perfect day to tailgate, not too hot...not too cold. Sunny, mountain breeze. One of my all-time favorite places to watch a college football game. I thought about making the trip, but didn't pull the trigger. I'm already regretting it.

If any of you ever get a chance to make it to Blacksburg for a big time night game...GO. I think the 2 death valleys may be the only thing that tops it.

Leach is a quirky guy who I feel thrives at the 'weird guy' programs. Programs that are thrilled to have a guy who wins, love his weirdness, and give him a lot of leeway.

Nebraska has tremendous pressure and tremendous expectations. Don't forget it took Leach 6 years to get Wazzu to the point that they look like a legitimate threat in the north. They had several FCS losses in there too. I don't know if they have the patience for Leach to get their program Full Mike Leach, and I wonder if Leach has the interest in going to a big name program and dealing with the pressure, boosters, and the expectation to carry himself publically in a certain way as the face of a proud / historic program.

I think it'd be a big mistake for the both of them. Leach should stay at Wazzu and make them a Pac12 north threat. If he can retain a good DC, they can compete for the north title regularly

happened on a late Friday night. The noon games are either blowouts or meh matchups. The only interesting matchup later on is Clemson vs Va Tech.

you get Saturdays going with these.

I'm also setting the line of # of comments about people who despise Gameday -6.5 vs. the total points scored in the Iowa/MSU game.

Lol there's a "Danny Coale caught that pass" sign at gameday. As a Michigan fan, I too can appreciate holding grudges over plays 10+ years old that no one else remembers
