The greatest "player to be named later" deal ever was when the Tigers acquired John McDonald from the Blue Jays for a player to be named later...and then later named McDonald, trading him for his future self.
This has happened 4 times in baseball, which, along with hockey, has the craziest trades.

He definitely could use some improvement, but for a guy who's in the first few weeks of his announcing/analyst career I've been pretty impressed.
I think the average view may get annoyed because he has tendancy to over analyze prior to the play, but I think that makes it all the more interesting. He was a little hesitant in Week 1, but there was a few times (maybe 4 or 5) where he correctly predicted the route/pass combination to key on prior the snap. Then last week he was almost as excited as any of the players on the field for CIN/GB as that came was coming down to the wire.
