It's been a full weekend, but it's a slow Monday. Time for the promised full post. /s

Sorry, Seth didn't check with me before saying that'd be up Saturday—between the game day and the podcast I didn't have a chance to post it over the weekend. The football hello for Kevin Doyle is going up this afternoon, Iggy will be tomorrow afternoon, then Purdue GIFs on Wednesday and a full recruiting roundup on Thursday.

You shouldn't speak for this blog.  If the blog actually came out and said something similar to this, I think they'd lose a lot of readers.  Everyone agrees this site is great. Being excited for more content is a very good problem.  Being a dick and telling people they'll get what they get whenever they get it because it's free and if you don't like it you can go somewhere else is a terrible attitude.  We all realize this doesn't cost us any money out of pocket, but it is still a time investment to commit to this site and my presence here directly benefits the owners.  I'd be shocked if Brian and Ace felt that this was all just free and no financial gain or loss was on the line.  I suspect they feel very differently and probably do care whether readers come here over other sites.  I don't know why people like you (you are definetly not alone) feel the need to be insulted on behalf of Brian and get so defensive.  Most websites are free and most want users to come to their site and most want to hear feedback. Your attitude doesn't match the actual world and I highly doubt it matches the attitude of the people financially invested in this site.  Remember how pissed the fan base got when some dick told them to go find another team to cheer for?  That didn't go well.  I enjoy this blog and the front page content is unmatched.  I don't go out of my way to read the board anymore due to so much high-horse bullshit like this.

I wasn't comparing levels of upset or lengths of posts. My only point is that while I think you mean well by defending the blog, you are probably harming the blog by turning off normal users and I doubt your post would be supported by the blog because they are still selling a service (free or not) and people who sell things don't like to make a habit of turning off buyers/users.  While I'm talking to you, I certainly don't think you are the problem.  It's this collective mentality that has become annoying and turned me off - at least a litte.  I still visit the site several times a day, but less than I used to.  I also bookmarked several other sites and I visit them much more now.  Further, Ace responded very cordially and gave an answer that many were happy to see so it seems like they were just fine with the question.

Honestly and truly, I was really not "defending the blog." The blog is "free," but of course it's for-profit and uses standard sources of online revenue to survive. Those have to do with traffic numbers (I am guessing), and so they will get punished if enough people get mad enough and don't come back. They know that, of course, so my defense isn't really necessary. Again, really and truly, I just always think it's funny when people complain about the speed of free content on websites. In what other domain of life do people complain about the speed of delivery of free shit???
