I thought Peppers underwhelmed on returns but overwhelmed on screens, despite it being Browns system weakness. I said at start of season Bush is our best defender and it shows. He is already All BIG. and at least honorable mention AA

Would you commit extra guys to help on Chase and turn someone else loose?

If I'm an opposing OC, I just assume that my QB is going to get hit b/c every guy in the pass rush can beat a single blocker, so it becomes a choice of which guy on the D do I not want hitting my QB?

My choices would be Gary and Hurst.  Continued hits by those guys and your QB doesn't finish the game.

nothing but misdirection pass plays, screens and delays, and the defense was killing itself with over-pursuit. Once Brown figured out how to stop that, Purdue's offense went away. And I don't get their two qb system, which itself is a gimmick and mostly a preparation issue, but not even that because both guys do the same things for the most part.

My only defensive concern going forward is how to stop Barkley and PSU's rpo offense.

Needs a raise, think he said something about be a fucking Dude the rest of the game and everyone stepped it up.

Bush has been amazing from the linebacker spot and the great thing is I think next years linebackers will be even better as the athleticism is just going to increase if that is possible moving forward.

There was a play where Bush absolutely decleated a Purdue player about 15 yds away from the ball...need to find it again, but he destroyed someone.

Purdue's QBs looked like they wanted to go home about half way through the 3rd qtr, Hurst put a pounding on a few times and Winovich lit them up a few times.

Defense is lights out as usual and Bush is phenomenal. Wow. Can't be more impressed. Purdue did not convert a single third down all day and we corrected to shut down the tunnel screen.

The TD drive was it for them.  Then Brown adjusted, and the tunnel screens and throwbacks got them next to nothing.  Zero third down conversions?  That's just outstanding.

Don Brown earns his paycheck EVERY. FUCKING. SATURDAY.

Defense showed up, and they clamped down big time in the second half. Devin Bush is a superstar in the making and Winovich is making his case for a big NFL payday.

As long as Don Brown is overseeing this defense, it will be elite year in and year out.

Devin Bush is...  I mean that guy is....  I constantly just watch him.  I haven't had faith in a guy on our team like I have with him.   He good.  Anyone else feel this way?
