This offense is as boring as pep hamilton's personality
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:55 PM ^
Coaches are probably just saving plays for later in the season.
/S
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:57 PM ^
That’s a good one.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:20 PM ^
Keep all the misdirection and special plays for the big games. JH will keep it vanilla throughout this 8-4 season to save for next year.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:55 PM ^
Hoke-esque
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:55 PM ^
Tim Drevno needs to find a new job. This is hot garbage...AGAIN.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:07 PM ^
I think the playcalling is pathetic-not to be outdone by the lack of an offensive line. No quick slants-only a flanker screen-Harbaugh better grab the "reins" or this game is over.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:55 PM ^
That right side has to get better. So does RB blocking.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:59 PM ^
One would think with 2 offensive line coach gurus that should'nt be an issue.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:56 PM ^
Em out and let Okorn throw the ball ... the power game and plays that take time aren’t working
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:56 PM ^
Harbaugh one of highest paid coaches in the country. In year 3, the offense should not be this bad or poorly coached. The masses will turn on him quickly. This is a first year coach at Purdue beating his team. Embarrassing.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:57 PM ^
That doesn't make sense. He doesn't have the same players he did in year 1.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:59 PM ^
That’s the point. These are his players. And they aren’t getting it done.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:02 PM ^
Wilton Speight isn't a Harbaugh guy and he's by far been the most disappointing part of the offense this season.
And if you're saying these are Harbaugh's players, then you have to acknowledge they're going to be young.
I just thought the comment was odd, but the point is we look like shit - that we can all agree with.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:00 PM ^
With all the inexperience, we expected some hiccups, not a complete shitshow though.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:06 PM ^
Agree 100%.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:07 PM ^
And these aren't Jeff fucking Brohms players either. Jesus.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:22 PM ^
JH has had 3 off seasons to get "his guys". This is just horseshit offense. Quarterbacking and OL are awful ... supposedly a Harbaugh's specialty.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:56 PM ^
Harbaughs style of offense nurtilizes the skill advantage we have over purdue's "D". Problem is he will stick with it even if it isnt working.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:56 PM ^
Both our deep shots were open but the throws missed.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:56 PM ^
That quick out to Crawford is there all day long. Do it until they stop it for shit sakes
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:56 PM ^
Watching TCU on offense makes me sad.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:56 PM ^
We're gonna kick Purdue's ass!
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:57 PM ^
Get the ball to DPJ, Perry, Evans, Isaac, anyone that is a playmaker. And FFS quit handing it off to Higdon so he can be blown over.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:57 PM ^
It's like a stupid-a-thon.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:57 PM ^
Just get the damn ball near the 50 yard line and let Nordin win this thing.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:00 PM ^
I read that comment at the wrong time. Great laugh but damn it....
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:57 PM ^
Same old shit for the third year in a row..
Offense is mediocre and playcalling is horrific... Qb guru my ass
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:01 PM ^
And it begins

This.you can call out Drevno, Frey and Pep Hamilton all you want but Harbaugh is the Head coach and is not getting it done. For fucks sake. He's getting 5 million dollars a year for this trash. Someone needs to call him out. He's getting out coached by a first year coach from Western Kentucky. That's bullshit. Also has 4-5 star recruits.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:06 PM ^
Are you kidding?! Do you forget how awesome Rudock looked in late 2015? How creative we were at the start of 2016?
Something happened starting mid 2016 that doesn't seem to be fixed
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:57 PM ^
We dont have a complete rb either..evans got vision but cant break tackles, hidgon hits the hole hard but has terrible vision and issac vision is good but hes not gonna run through any contact
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:02 PM ^
With this OL it could be Barry Sanders and it wouldn’t matter.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:57 PM ^
Throw the ball to the RBs. Some screens and some wheel routes.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:58 PM ^
Can we stop trying to pound the ball and just run the ball out of the shotgun formation?
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:58 PM ^
Another painful game.
September 23rd, 2017 at 5:58 PM ^
Well, where are they? The quick hitting passes have by far been the best offense, need to get the ball to your better athletes in space.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:00 PM ^
And let's throw them to DPJ.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:00 PM ^
so far. Need more than 100 yds of offense second half.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:00 PM ^
why would a #1 RB want to come play here? OL is horrid and the #1 We did get is buried in the depth chart.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:00 PM ^
I'd love to get a first down on first or second down a couple times
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:00 PM ^
I like Drevno but don't think OC is his strength...we need an offensive Don Brown hire
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:01 PM ^
Or Jim harbaugh could just call the plays
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:02 PM ^
I would bet it won’t be long
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:03 PM ^
Harbaugh said last year that every play goes through him.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:08 PM ^
Harbaugh said last season that Drevno, and Jedd Fisch would both give their input on what play to run, but ultimately Harbaugh would make the final call.

To be fair, that is from 2015, not last year, and nothing in that story is anything Harbaugh said. Everything in that story is Fisch.
A month after Harbaugh was hired, Tim Drevno said he was the primary play-caller:
http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2015/02/tim_drevno_will_call_…
And then this past week from Rivals: https://michigan.rivals.com/news/harbaugh-michigan-football-play-callin…
He noted there were a number of hands involved in the play calling.
“It’s a combination. [Offensive coordinator] Tim Drevno and [passing-game coordinator] Pep [Hamilton] have the greatest share, and I’m probably third in line,” he said, hesitating before answering ‘yes’ when asked if he had ‘veto power.’
“That’s probably the simplest and best way to explain it,” he continued. “It’s a group effort by our offensive coaching staff, with Tim and Pep having the greatest share of the play calling.”
So it's tough to figure out what the truth is and what is "coach-speak." I'm reminded of the great interview Lloyd Carr gave going into halftime in East Lansing back in maybe 2003 or 2005 when he was asked about who made a call that backfired in the waning seconds of the half. His responses was a glare and the answer, "I did." Head coaches know to take the blame, even when it's an assistant or coordinator who messed up.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:09 PM ^
He is calling the plays with input from Drevno. It's Harbaugh's scheme/game plan which makes the offense sucking even worse.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:02 PM ^
Well, one would think that the combination of Harbaugh's offensive genius, and Pep Hamiliton's expereince would accomplish that goal.
September 23rd, 2017 at 6:01 PM ^
Bottom line is that don brown has to win us this game and prolly a few more to get bowl eligible
