Oddly familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

I'm surprised his Lego-Porn idea never caught on.

did. You just haven't looked in the right places.

I heard the BDSM involves throwing Lego pieces on the floor and walking barefoot in the dark.
September 21st, 2017 at 3:06 PM ^
I hate it when I wake up, stumble out of bed to get a cup of coffee, and step on a Lego coupling humping. Hurts like hell...

No I don't think Bill Martin wants it either

If it's the same guy that fired Pelini for going 9-4 each year, and I assume it is...HAHAHAHAHAHA
September 21st, 2017 at 3:06 PM ^
Probably not...
September 21st, 2017 at 3:14 PM ^
They made the right move firing Pelini. He was a prick to everyone that created a us versus them attitude in the team vs everyone else such as fans and administration. He let some guys get away with shady shit too. Plus never finishing a season without 4 losses. If you go to a Nebraska board none of them want Pelini back.
Riley was probably a dumber hire than us hiring Hoke.
September 21st, 2017 at 3:24 PM ^
He seemed like a prick. But if being a prick is disqualifying to be a CFB coach, I think we need to fire about 50% of the coaches. And, has Nebraska sniffed 9 wins since he left? Um, no.
September 21st, 2017 at 3:58 PM ^
They won 9 last year...
September 21st, 2017 at 6:14 PM ^
Being a prick isn't disqualifying for most college teams, but it is for Nebraska. It's a pretty uptight state; they do not like their coaches using that kind of language, especially to bash the fanbase.
September 21st, 2017 at 7:01 PM ^
They wanted Pellini fired regardless of his record. He was a bad fit there in the same way a shady coach would be here.
September 21st, 2017 at 3:26 PM ^
...most of them won't be satisfied unless they can hire a 57 year old Tom Osborne. That's a very small pool to hire from.
September 21st, 2017 at 3:59 PM ^
Air Force has an excellent coach
I bet Nebraska would represent a significant pay raise.
September 21st, 2017 at 4:17 PM ^
but he's an Air Force alum so not sure he'd want to leave.
I stil think Scott Frost or PJ Fleck or Jeff Brohm or a number of other guys would have higher upside.
September 21st, 2017 at 5:59 PM ^
That would feel like a very lateral move.
Fleck is waiting patiently for ND to fire BK.
September 21st, 2017 at 7:03 PM ^
I hope that’s not true. I still like Fleck, but him to ND would end that real quick.

Firing Pelini without having any kind of plan was stupid. Hiring Mike Riley, who was years past his peak and was being kept around in Oregon State primarily because he's a Corvallis native was the epitome of stupidity. Extending Riley was literally the definition of insanity

That, and it’s Oregon State, who else would they hire? Oregon State has Anderson now and they are still terrible. Riley was as good as they were going to get.
September 21st, 2017 at 8:01 PM ^
Oregon State was competitive under Riley at a number of points in his tenure. He really should not have left, because instead his legacy is going to be getting shitcanned by Nebraska
September 21st, 2017 at 3:24 PM ^
They fired Solich for going 9-4 each year (maybe 8-4 in the years of 11 game schedules)

be stuck at above average. But if that's the case, you have to be willing to back the money truck up to hire a guy that's a proven commodity (a la Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh, etc) or a nearly can't-miss up-and-comer who has been wildly successful at smaller programs (a la Hermann, Brohm, Fleck, etc).
Bill Callahan was a bad NFL coach with no proven success in college and Mike Riley was good for a few years in Corvallis but was aging and on a downward trajectory, coming off his worst PAC12 season ever.
SMH.
This is like the contant Beilien debate. If we ever fired him, we'd better be ready to back the money truck up, big time because that'd be the only way to upgrade (unless his age starts to become an issue with recruiting and his teams start getting worse, at that point, it'd be more reasonable to go for an upgrade).

stays for 50 more years..he has resurected Michigan Basketball to a national stage...
September 21st, 2017 at 4:20 PM ^
Tell me we wouldn't be pissed off only winning 9 games a year for seven straight years. That's what got Earle Bruce fired and why there were always grumblings among us with Carr.
Not even that but they never even made a BCS bowl with Pelini and their highest finish was 14th.
September 21st, 2017 at 4:33 PM ^
People here are already pissed off after back to back 10 win seasons and a 3-0 start.
September 21st, 2017 at 11:20 PM ^
People are pissed because we're 0-2 in The Game.
September 21st, 2017 at 10:17 PM ^
8-4 in 11 games. That N does stand for Nowledge.
September 21st, 2017 at 2:31 PM ^
It's because he is not good and he hired a football coach who is terribly not good also.
September 21st, 2017 at 2:40 PM ^
His problem was that he DID hire a coach that was good. Just a nice, good, honest and decent man.
Who happened to be a shitty coach.
September 21st, 2017 at 2:59 PM ^
I guess he's a good guy except for when he suspended players for one game for rape.

Scott Frost to Nebraska?
September 21st, 2017 at 2:35 PM ^
That's what the Nebraska boards seem to want? And he does seem to be doing good things at UCF. I mean, those guys hit harder than any team in the country...
September 21st, 2017 at 2:41 PM ^
LOL @ somebody else getting Hoke

September 21st, 2017 at 2:35 PM ^
One would assume he's on the short list. It won't hurt his cause if he beats Maryland this Saturday.
September 21st, 2017 at 2:43 PM ^
would probably be a good idea simply from a program identity standpoint. Right now, what the hell is Nebraska? Why are they around? They are geographically isolated from the rest of the conference. They really don't bring anything to the table. They aren't good. They have no in-conference rivals. They are kind of like the guy(me) at the party standing by himself in the corner because he literally has nothing to say to anybody.
At least Frost would give their fans something to identify with.
