You seem to be well versed in brewing your own beer. I have done it myself a handful of times (not always successfully). Unfortunately it usually turns out to taste not very good and is more like a malt liquor. Do you know of any resources that I can read, or any tips of how I can get better? Thanks.

My friend and I brewed up some porter for a fourth party a few years back, named it "Born on the Fourth of July Alabama Blacksnake" always kind of liked that name. I don't know what this has to do with a Michigan beer, just liked the name...Yeah, Ale to the Victors sounds nice.

Well it's going to be tough to beat Ale to the Victors..I really like that one. I'm thinking an IPA. Maybe use a small amount of flaked Maize in the process.

basically the first part of the process in making beer is "steeping" the grains. This is basically like making tea. You put your specialty grains (flaked maize) in a cheesecloth and steep it in hot water, just like making tea. So there will be no chunks..
