Bye Bye Suh

Submitted by WoodleyIsBeast on

Rams just traded Carriker to the Skins, signaling that they will take Suh over Bradford. My guess is that they want to take Locker next year and are thinking they will end up with that top pick. Risky, but I guess it makes sense. Ahhhh chaos!!

I would be cool with reaching at #2 to take Berry. If he turns out to be Ed Reed and Sean Taylor in one, it would be worth it.....

If I am the Rams I would much rather have Suh and Jimmy Clausen with my 33rd pick then Bradford alone at #1. Jimmy falling to the second round seems like an acceptable risk for the Rams to me.

They cut Bulger too, way back. What's that telling you? Oh yeah and Lions traded Sims. Are they going to draft a LB with the #2 draft pick?

I'd hope they take McCoy. Need to get better in the trenches if the Haynesworth deal doesn't materialize. I'm not a huge fan of drafting Berry when you already have one good safety in Delmas; need to work on the front seven first.

I don't think this matters. The Rams have no quarterback. They need a quarterback and they need one now. They're not going to pass on the best quarterback in the draft because they got rid of one d-tackle.

Although, you don't get to the bottom of the NFL by making great draft decisions, (RIGHT, MILLEN?) so who knows?

As good as Suh is I really think it would be foolish of the Lions to take him on Thursday night. They need to draft Okung and plant him at LT so that their $100 million investment in Stafford doesn't disappear into a cloud of concussions and injuries.

Part of the reason he got hit so much was because the Lions were behind all the time with a horrendous defense that could not generate a pass rush or cover anyone.

Plus, Okung is not an elite prospect. People act like this guy is the second coming of Munoz and he isn't.

The Lions have taken 4 OT's in the first over the past 15 years: Backus, Cherlius, McDougle, and Gibson. I'm tired of seeing so much money dedicated to a position where you can get good starters later on in the draft.

Suh/McCoy are also considered superior prospects to any OT available in this draft.

I think you may be suffering from Chicken Little syndrome here. That would be the equivalent of the Knicks trading for Mark Madsen and then declaring they were out of the Lebron sweepstakes.

Bradford, in many scouts estimates, had an amazing workout. If he's still available at No. 2, it could mean several teams will up their bids for that pick. I'd love to fleece the Browns again by grabbing a few of their picks. I want Suh, but we've solidified the line, and getting an extra second rounder in a deep draft could be better in the long run.

aren't a bad alternative for the Lions. Both are just as good of a prospect as Suh. McCoy is more explosive and fits the Lions scheme better. Also, he has a motor that doesn't stop.

Russell Okung is an elite LT prospect. He has great size, long arm, athletic and dominant in space. He's stronger than most people give credit.

I wouldn't be too mad if the Lions ended up landing either players. They're a great prospects and will certainly help the Lions plus they also fill the positional needs too.

I've heard the opposite. The scouts loved his motor as well as I do since I saw OU play a lot for the last two years.

The problem with McCoy's production, while it's good, but he has trouble consistently sinking his hips to gain leverage which is why he doesn't get as much sacks that he should be getting at OU. He has outstanding explosion, usage of hands, stronger than most people think, and has variety of pass rush moves. Motor as his biggest question is false.

If the Rams did do the unthinkable and not take Bradford, I would hope the phone would be ringing off the hook in Detroit(Seattle, S.F.), which I'm I'll for. Having writing this, its not going to happen. Braford is going number 1 regardless whos picking there (S.L.,Cle,SEA,S.F.).
