Mostly encouraged compared to preseason expectations. Defense is so fast! Gary doesn't have the counting stats but he maybe had double digit pressures today and overpursuit is an improvable thing.

The things that might go beyond ironing out are:
- Is this Forever Speight? I've generally been a defender but a bit worried now
- RT: How much better will Ulizio get? Can someone pass him if not?

Other than that, injury to the wrong spot could be reaaaal bad. That's true for almost every team though.

overall as expected with a young team though speight should be and needs to be much better.  he regressed and not sure if that is rust/surgery recovery or as he said his footwork got sloppy.  last week pushed expectations higher but this game crashed reality home.  right side of line needs work that only comes with playing games.  isaac is solid but he doesn't blow me away and and evans has to get back into form from end of last year.  play calling is very conservative and needs to win with aggression like the defense.  the defensive backs are young and will improve.  the potential is there but as with line they need real game experience.  mo hurst/rashan gary/chase winovish are beasts.

But I'm tired of speight not hitting receivers in stride. Even when he makes decent throws he doesn't lead them. Just to many turnovers as well for a well coached team imo. I hope we don't play down/up to our opponents all season as well. Just feel like I wasted two games complaining when I want to enjoy all the games.

Every other time, ever, that I've seen a missed fumble call blown dead, they have NEVER reversed it.  Of course they did for OSU.

Unfortunately Staee and ND don't look like train wrecks this year. Staee game could be too close for comfort.
