I guess the "buy two Cokes, get a free trampoline" promotion didn't pan out.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:44 PM ^
LOL, haven't seen the Brandon Pimp Hand in quite some time!
September 6th, 2017 at 10:11 PM ^
WOW, he has bigger hands than the....nvm.
September 6th, 2017 at 3:59 PM ^
With that shitty plastic smile and all.
September 6th, 2017 at 6:20 PM ^
I'm sure he will find a new company to run into the ground after Toys R Us. Just think though, given his history at UM, Dominos, etc., when he leaves the company stock is often priced really low and the new management send the earnings soaring.

Company in trouble? Jim Hackett says "hold my can of domestic beer."
September 6th, 2017 at 4:13 PM ^
there isn't much of an incentive for risk taking. Mullaly was a good numbers guy. What's out now was put in the oven by him many moons ago. Ford has a good war chest, lots of cash. They need more halo vechicles.
I've never liked Ford's styling. Dodge/Jeep, all the way.
September 6th, 2017 at 9:24 PM ^
Dodges break all the time. Jeeps are cool, but horrible gas mileage.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:27 PM ^
I believe the term is now "shit, hold my beer."

Even Jim Hackett couldn't save Toys R Us. Their business model is a case study in not adapting.
...but hiring Dave Brandon to try to turn things around wasn't a good move.

I mean if we're being honest with ourselves....truly honest....who here HASNT singlehandidly wiped out icons of American industry in both food services AND retail while finding the time to almost destroy the winningest team in college football history?
I know I have.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:05 PM ^
Big deal. Everybody destroys brand equity, everybody goes bankrupt.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:39 PM ^
Everybody kills people

quit drinking and go to bed.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:02 PM ^
It would have easily drawn in more customers.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:12 PM ^
Yes... this was a Dave BRANDon thing
September 6th, 2017 at 5:09 PM ^
...this was a new low.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:02 PM ^
I suggest you find a new job, Dave. Also, Fuck You.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:56 PM ^
even though their pizza still sucks.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:08 PM ^
that fills me with an urge to defecate.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:30 PM ^
a very nice home. 12 bathrooms, though? He must've needed to use the crapper a lot during his tenure!
September 6th, 2017 at 4:36 PM ^
See Wigeon's comment, above.
Probably a common sentiment. Explains the need.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:59 PM ^
and the treatment to slow its growth is injecting female hormones -- that could explain all the bathrooms...

Name checks out...

In Ann Arbor. There are a lot of folks in Ann Arbor that are far more wealthy that this Dufus but none of them have a house like this.
It's just not done that way.
So I guess that he just kept running around from toilet to toilet dumping loosely and wondering "What was I thinking?"
September 20th, 2017 at 9:30 PM ^
Yeah, all of Barton Hills is $1M+ -- I believe his neighbor is Bill Ford, Jr. -- but Dave's is for sure the most ostentatious in the neighborhood.
September 6th, 2017 at 5:26 PM ^
Apparently "Ever After" doesn't mean what I thought it did if the house is on the market.
September 6th, 2017 at 5:34 PM ^
$600 a square foot. Says typical house goes for $237 a square foot. Probably why it has been on the market fora long time.
Seems like typical Dave Brandon, lots of hype but out of touch with reality.
September 7th, 2017 at 1:56 AM ^
and I get to park in an effing car-port??????
September 6th, 2017 at 10:54 PM ^
Probably won't sell with that hideous blue carpet on the bottom level. Pull that shit up.
September 6th, 2017 at 11:09 PM ^
The plaque on the house has been replaced with one that reads "you know you love it".
September 6th, 2017 at 6:29 PM ^
"The Brandon's" (SIC)
September 6th, 2017 at 6:32 PM ^
First, naming your house Ever After is just so prententious.
And, secondly, after all that money he still couldn't figure out the correct way to use an apostrophe.
September 10th, 2017 at 10:44 PM ^
It's not nearly as obnoxious as naming its Scottsdale desert counterpart "Camp David" as if you could ever appropriate or approximate the gravitas of the president...wait a sec...err, a presidential retreat.
September 20th, 2017 at 9:36 PM ^
He sold the Arizona pad last fall for $7.7M! I think he's been living in NYC full time.

Never good to see a company struggling.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:21 PM ^
Dominoes stock went through the roof in the years right after Brandon left.
As soon as he leaves Toys-R-Us, it'll be time to buy.
September 6th, 2017 at 5:14 PM ^
Too bad they're privately owned.
September 6th, 2017 at 9:30 PM ^
short buy wherever he ends up next
September 6th, 2017 at 6:27 PM ^
I feel sorry for all the employees except Brandon.
He just needs to go away where he can't hurt other people.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:05 PM ^
What is the expression he lives by? "If it ain't broke, break it!" (?) Something like that.
September 6th, 2017 at 4:06 PM ^
Who is Dave Brandon? Is he the guy who started Wendys with Thomas? Or maybe the guy who started the Matthews Band? Or, was he the guy who partnered with Buster?
September 6th, 2017 at 9:30 PM ^
he is the guy who filmed a clip for the ESPN Fab Five show while wearing lipstick.
