above you lose.
September 5th, 2017 at 1:43 PM ^
We jump fsu, uf falls to number 24, 1 spot ahead of nd, lol
September 5th, 2017 at 2:12 PM ^
hot garbage
September 5th, 2017 at 1:41 PM ^
TL;DR
September 6th, 2017 at 4:04 AM ^
overly loquacious Sith Lord...
September 5th, 2017 at 1:42 PM ^
I like.
September 5th, 2017 at 1:45 PM ^
Down some ranked teams.
September 5th, 2017 at 7:23 PM ^
We're coming for you.....
September 5th, 2017 at 1:45 PM ^
ND being ranked after beating Temple following a 4-8 season.
Totally deserved.
September 5th, 2017 at 1:49 PM ^
A Sparty in my office told me Penn St was clearly the best team in the conference after they beat Akron whose offense ranked even worse than Florida's offense last season. That is a select group when you were around the bottom five in the country.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:09 PM ^
PSU may be the best but no way to tell from a win over Akron. I read several comments on a certain board where Spartys think BGSU would beat Florida, harder matchup etc. People are funny lol
September 5th, 2017 at 2:19 PM ^
Don't say they're funny, it's not nice to make fun of those with challenges.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:25 PM ^
Now you funny too.
September 5th, 2017 at 3:53 PM ^
My ol lady not so funny
September 5th, 2017 at 5:18 PM ^
Do I amuse you? Funny how?
September 5th, 2017 at 7:30 PM ^
funny queer.
September 5th, 2017 at 3:06 PM ^
anybody else notice that they didn't get a single vote?
That means ol' Marky Mark didn't vote for his own team on his own ballot.
September 5th, 2017 at 8:52 PM ^
I saw that also.
Speaking of which, I was surprised to see Harbaugh didn't have a ballot.
September 5th, 2017 at 1:45 PM ^
Fuck the Coaches Poll.
Second, #8 isn't bad. But WTF is FSU still doing at #9? They should have dropped further.
I'd be nice if Florida could get their shit together and stay in the top 25. They're barely hanging on @ 24.
September 5th, 2017 at 1:50 PM ^
Phil Fulmer probably still gets a vote and put Michigan #19 this week.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:00 PM ^
Speaking of Fulmer. I see that Sparty finished #4 in this year's Fulmer Cup. Alcorn State was the champion of this year's Fulmer Cup.

September 5th, 2017 at 2:22 PM ^
Phil Fulmer does NOT get a vote, but Luke Fickell does. No Harbaugh. He probably told them he has better things to do than to waste time voting when the games are played on the field.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:12 PM ^
Yep, and Jalen Hurts continues to be predictably limited. I would not be surprised if this Alabama team loses to LSU.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:13 PM ^
Agree. I can't believe the press and pundits weren't all over this. It was a blatant pass inference and the momentum changed after that. Don't get me wrong, 'Bama looked really good on D, but so did FSU
September 5th, 2017 at 3:44 PM ^
agree. I thought FSU held up really well. They lost the game or at least momentum on special teams
September 5th, 2017 at 1:58 PM ^
I mean are there 9 other teams in the country that would have fared that much better than FSU against Bama on the opening weekend?
September 5th, 2017 at 2:18 PM ^
Probably not. But I don't have an issue with dropping FSU even further than 9 or 10 due to their QB being out for the year and now relying on a true freshman.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:28 PM ^
But even that is an assumption that hasn't been proven yet. I mean it's not like we haven't saw a team win a national title with their 3rd string QB a few years back. They have a proven HC, great defense and good skill players to help out the young QB until he gets up to speed.
September 5th, 2017 at 5:13 PM ^
Yes they do. Which is why I'm not up in arms about them falling further. However, Redshirt Sophomore Cardale is a lot different than 6'5" 185lb James Blackman at FSU. Francois took shot after shot all 2016 and against Alabama. I will be very surprised if Blackman holds up all year.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:42 PM ^
Agree here. I hate that Alabama is as good as they are, but they are the standard. Really good teams can lose and lose convincingly to them. FSU was nearly their equal for much of the game before things started going wrong... but against whom will that not be the case?
Maybe OSU can hang with them. Clemson still, maybe. Penn State? Auburn? USC? Oklahoma? They'd get crushed.
BTW I don't think we'd look great against them this year, either. But next year will be a different story and I think we'll get a chance to find out.
September 5th, 2017 at 1:48 PM ^
Let's be honest. The score should have been 58-3.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:09 PM ^
Who would you put ahead of Michigan at #8? FSU couldn't move the ball, QB out for year. Okla St has no defense. Teams at 11-20 all have their weaknesses.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:17 PM ^
If the score "should have been" 58-3, Michigan should ranked higher, not lower.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:42 PM ^
Maybe he means that 8 is too high a number. Like 4 would be a lower number.
September 5th, 2017 at 3:11 PM ^
This simultaneously confuses me and makes things clearer.
Like when somebody tells me they want to move the time of a meeting "up." Which way is up, when talking about time? Is it toward me, or away from me?
September 5th, 2017 at 1:52 PM ^
Have to love that teams that beat serious challengers (UM, VT, Ok St, MD, maybe LSU) are ranked below teams that have (thus far) only proven that they can blowout teams so far beneath them that no significant conclusions can be drawn (PSU, Clem, OK, Wash, Wisc).
September 5th, 2017 at 1:58 PM ^
Byu struggled against portland st. Lsu did not face a challenge
September 5th, 2017 at 4:53 PM ^
That's why I said maybe. BYU does not look good so far this year, but they are historically decent to good. It is possible they are just off to a bad start. They honestly belong in the P5 distinction more than some of the other programs that are already there.
September 5th, 2017 at 1:57 PM ^
I dont get how u could watch week 1 and keep usc ahead of michigan
September 5th, 2017 at 2:00 PM ^
I'm fine with PSU being higher so we can take them to the woodshed again.
September 5th, 2017 at 4:12 PM ^
if they think so, and sustain a shock when we start hitting.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:10 PM ^
in the AP Poll.
September 5th, 2017 at 2:11 PM ^
In the neighborhood! Onwards and upwards!
GO BLUE!!
September 5th, 2017 at 2:13 PM ^
In the common Michigan tongue, we call this a "Consensus Sheridan."
September 5th, 2017 at 2:16 PM ^
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. OSU (ytosu)
4. Oklahoma
5. Michigan
6. Penn State
7. USC
8. LSU
9. Washington
10. Stanford
September 5th, 2017 at 2:34 PM ^
Can't wait for PSU.
September 5th, 2017 at 5:34 PM ^
we are gonna beat PSU, just like last year. and somehow they will still rank them ahead of us at end of season.
September 5th, 2017 at 6:17 PM ^
Harbaugh will coach franklin under the table. I think we win by 10 points.
September 5th, 2017 at 7:13 PM ^
We're going to need better QB play to beat Penn State. They will score on us.
