No surprise with Braden or (sadly, because he's hurt) Godin. A pity about Stribling, but MGrowOld basically telegraphed this a week or two ago. Fitz going practice squad is a step back; glad for the rest of the squad guys, they have a chance.

Not over Kinnel, maybe over Metellus - but that's a move in position and we use our SS/VIPERs interchangeably so maybe not there as well.

Maybe a dime back?

Who knows? But we're fine with what we have minus depth. We need Lewis, Stribling or Clark back for one more year. But it is what it is...ONWARD!

Biggest stunner to make an opening day NFL roster: Ben Gedeon. What a pleasant surprise! I didn't think he had near the foot speed and change of direction quickness to make it in the League..Magnuson making the 49ers is also a shocker. He never seemed to be on the path to a NFL career. Props to him for making the most of his opportunity.

From what I have heard Godin was told that the Texans want him back, if he is not picked up on waivers.  They want him to take a year and "redshirt" on IR and see where that goes.   That is common for the Texans to keep a DL that can play multiple spots on the line around.

Richard Ash and Ondre Pipkpins, two of our former players who were long injured but got healthy enough to find playing time after transferring, were both waived.  Ash had been on the Jags' practice squad, moved to active status and later traded to the Cowboys, I think at the end of last season.
