2018 RB Commit Christian Turner amazing run (vid)

Submitted by Night_King on

2018 running back commit Christian Turner from Buford, GA made an unbelievable run in a recent game. Good enough for the official Hudl account to post on twitter. Someone please embed for the board.

It is still unclear how this kid is a 3 star (47th ranked player in GA). Link to 247 profile:

The last 4 star is Ronnie Walker who just committed to IU. He is the #13 RB and Turner right now is #23. As it stands right now he will have to move up at least 10 spots in RB positional rankings.

He came to a stop in the flat when Turner was breaking his second tackle, then shouted "Maverick's re-engaging, sir!" and put himself in a good position to tackle, but forgot to use either of his arms when diving at Turner's legs.

Nice run CT.

His Hello post here suggested that he would likely move up in the rankings, because of a strong showing at The Opening.  Interesting tidbit here from Ace/Mathlete...

"Turner's early rankings peg him in the 20-30 range among 2018 RBs, with Scout as a low outlier. That's likely to change. According to The Mathlete's rank-by-offers method, Turner is the #10 RB and #161 overall prospect in the class. He's also coming off a strong performance in March's The Opening Atlanta regional that had Scout calling him one of the surprises of the camp."

It's nice to see our recruits do well and move up, of course. Inasmuch as it helps us move up in the team rankings, that's a plus.

On the other hand, I also like to see a few of our recruits end up underrated. It provides some good talking points. Harbaugh and co. will stick with low rated commits, countering the early perception. More stories about how good our coaches are at developing players and limiting talk about a Harbaugh bump in the ratings for our other commits. Having a few recruits who feel they have something to prove is not a bad thing either.

I like that run.  Kid looks good - has the moxie, strenght, and wherewithal to break tackles, the quicks to juke and evade, and the top end speed to outrun.  He reminds me of a combination of Ty Wheatly Sr and DRob, only with better balance.

Having great balance is a very underrated ability. This kids got it. Derrick Green severly lacked balance. Like at school, if he only had his book bag on one shoulder he would fall over. Little did we know that the lack of this basic athletic ability would be his undoing.

"Sure he made some people miss but he didnt display 4.15 speed so we are downgrading him to unranked"

Jesus they have him ranked 543rd overall. Usually 247 is the better scouting site but they are really screwing up this one

It's just people that are miserable little pricks and no one likes them so they come on here to bug people. Misery loves company because they are the ones who are pathetic little bitches in society. Not me though. I'm like Paul fucking Bunyan. I chop those bitches down in real life.  That said, cant wait for Turner to get behind a great UM line in like two or three years.

The other team forgot how to perform a wrap up tackle. Talk about defensive aligator arms, especially the last guy to miss him. But then again, it is HS football.

As for the run, nice vision and spin moves. Would love to see a Michigan RB routinely do that against MSU and OSU.
