Wisconsin LB Zach Braun out for the year

Submitted by Bambi on
https://www.landof10.com/wisconsin/wisconsin-lb-zack-baun-injury Braun joins Jack Cichy as Wisconsin LBs out for the year. Cichy's an inside LB while Braun is an outside LB, and Braun wasn't going to start, but he played all 12 games last yeat for them as a freshman. He's they're only experienced depth at OLB. This is a big hit to an already thin LB corps

Wisconsin's modus operandi is the name that in any other context one would overlook suddenly become - even briefly - one of the more talked about people in the conference. This is how they seem to have done it for years.

In all seriousness though, I can't imagine what it is like to be a D-I athlete and hear the words "out for the year". Hopefully, his recovery is full and as speedy as possible.

Feel for the kid and Wisconson. Although not a starter it is always best to beat a good opponent at full strength. Hope like hell Michigan avoids the injury bug this year.

Was just thinking about this a couple of days ago. Unless I missed anything, there has not been any reports of any injuries during camp so far. I don't remember the last time we escape camp without any serious injuries (mandatory knock on wood of course).

but damn. These young kids, with so little time to play. To be on the team but out for the year with an injury, gotta be such a psychological blow. Sad.

I'm starting to have empathy for the Badgers.  Biegel and Watt are gone, Cichy is done, now this.  We saw what happened when "PSU was missing their LB's".  I'm going with the Huskers to win the West.  That should actually be a fun race as there are a legit 5 teams that have a shot.

Empathy is not exactly the right word here. Empathy is "the ability to share the feelings of others." Do you mean you feel sympathy for them? I do not feel sympathy for the Badgers at all. I don't like them or their program. I do feel really bad for this player who hurt himself, however. I have suffered several season-ending knee injuries myself and they crush your soul.

Well, from a GOT standpoint, anyway. I wish Wisconsin well and their young lbs good luck until the Badgers face Michigan. Then, alls well that ends well.

Damn. You never want to see that happen to anyone. Here's to a full recovery and getting back on the field next season. I still expect a very tough game in Madison. Wisconsin always fields very good teams and they're tough to beat at Camp Randall.

Go through spring practice, work out all summer, nearly reach the end of fall camp, then this happens. Still has plenty of eligibility left, though. Good luck on your rehab, young man.
