Got to cook for him back in the 70's in Vegas. Owner picked up the tab for his whole party and said just give it to the March of dimes. Over 4 grand. You we see him often in Vegas just walking around. Tell Dean Hi.

Jerry Lewis significantly sacrificed his entertainment career to work on the MD telethon.  Truly a great man.

He did have some terrible movies though.  And a lot of great ones.

I wonder how well we would have done  had our asses been tucked up against Germany in 1940. I suspect we'd be doing the goose step. They lost over 1MM people only 20yrs earlier. Plus french fries rule.

Are you from Russia? They fought 80% of the Nazi troops by themselves. The Western Allies (the combined forces of the U.S., UK, Canada and Free France) fought the other 20% - mostly teenage German boys.

My Art of Flim class watched The King of Comedy during the Fall 2001 semester...highly recommended. Jerry Lewis + Robert Deniro directed by Martin Scorsese. Sidenote: His last film came out last year called Max Rose. He also popularized the use of video assist systems during filmmaking.

Who produces the WGN TV morning show is a Jerry Lewis imitator inter alia. They were actually friends, and the news is hitting him hard.

Jerry Lewis did tremendous good in this world. I wish him happiness in the next one.

"Damn Yankees" where he played the devil.  What he lacked in singing ability he made up for in stage presence.  The dude owned the stage.  Great night, and it made me realize how versatile a talent he truly was.  He will be missed.

RIP, Jerry Lewis.

The MDA has been an amazing help to us from day one.  Jerry and his work set the stage for the progess we have made.  Screw that, he built the stage and the whole damn theater when it comes to MD research/progress.

We are on the precipice of meaningful treatments for Duchenne, approved treatements for SMA, and a host of paths that sound like "cures".  It was a while ago, I was able to hear him speak to a group at an MDA event.  He knew how close we are.

RIP Jerry and thank you

Don't have any sense of who the dude was. Confused his name with the piano dude who like banged his 12 year old cousin. 12 year olds, dude.
