MGoObes stated, in another post, that Beaver's de-commit opens things up for Devin Gardner in '10. I wonder how that would be impacted if UM were to sign Boyd or Smith this year.

Wasn't everyone here talking about Stallworth just a couple days ago? Everyone was talking about landing a third qb in this class. Well,let's get him. He's an athlete that wants a chance to play qb. He'd be a good fit, and if we don't need him at qb, we've still got a great receiver. And this opens the door for a top qb recruit in 2010. It's going to be tough to get a top recruit like Boyd to come in and sit behind Tate. I don't think a top recruit is willing to take that chance, hence, why Beav left.

I don't think the Beav was concerned with playing behind Forcier. All signs point to him wanting to stay home. Plus, I just read that Mrs. Beav called Rodriguez for him. Sounds like mother had something to do with this as well.
