Submitted by We are back on
I got this email Friday, I decided to donate my 2 tickets, if anyone else is interested here's how to do it ATTENTION: Season Ticket Holders! If you will NOT be attending the Air Force game (9/16), we would love if you could donate your tickets to service members and veterans. To do so: 1) Sign into your online account (http://myumi.ch/L4erM) 2) Select My Account/Return 3) Choose the Air Force game and select the tickets you wish to donate If you WILL be attending, we will see you there! Thank YOU, and GO BLUE! // #MGoTroops

I'm willing to bet the univerity will get a good amount of returns however I think the game in Dallas might cause people to hang on to their tickets.

I would be more likeley to donate the AF game if there were 7 home games on the schedule.

We have also made plans for each of the games as to who we are taking so it's kind of late for us to change that and return them.

Maybe I'm just selfish. Idk.

As someone who has benefited from this kind gesture I want to say thank you. I was able to take myself and a fellow active duty marine to his first game at the big house and it was truly an amazing experience. Go Blue.

They will send out an email to prvious MGoVets and I believe put an announcment on their website. You have to regester and use the military code provided and then pick up the tickets the day before at the ticket office with proof of service or at the ticket counter on gameday.

Face value for this game is $55 for an endzone seat. Pretty low cost in comparison to other games. I understand that Rutgers is a conference opponent and it's homecoming weekend but, for reference, that game is $75. I bet AF would beat Rutgers FWIW. MSU and OSU games are $125 each.

As a season ticket holder, you may donate your UM/Air Force tickets to a deserving veteran or service member.  Any U-M/Air Force tickets donated prior to August 11th will be distributed to current and former military members. To donate your tickets:

It kind of looks like anything donated now isn't going to be distributed to the military.

I think they are still given to Vets. Last year I registered as a vet to get tickets but didn't make the cut since its first come first serve. But then a week before the game received an email saying they had received even more and they now had tickets. Was an awesome feeling being able to go after originally being told they were all given out. So if you give tickets even later than the above date I believe they still go to veterans.

I am a Veteran and a season ticket holder. I am fortunate to be sitting next to another Veteran. He from the Cold War in the early 60's. Me from the Cold War in the Mid 80's. We have our own Army-Navy game every year. but this year it is really very easy. Beat Airforce and kick those country-club Club Warrior's butts. We still love you though.
