I wish they would make this a permanent thing and not just for the Military Appreciation Game.

Would be a great public service to help military folks and underpriveledged kids go see the games.

you can donate them through vettix.org
*I am not affiliated with them at all, but I've known a few soldiers who have received free tickets for other football games through the organization.

Not sure I will make the game, this is a great update!

I'm willing to bet the univerity will get a good amount of returns however I think the game in Dallas might cause people to hang on to their tickets.
I would be more likeley to donate the AF game if there were 7 home games on the schedule.
We have also made plans for each of the games as to who we are taking so it's kind of late for us to change that and return them.
Maybe I'm just selfish. Idk.

That's awesome! We only have 2 tickets so having 4 would have made the decision easier.
It would have been neat to donate 2 knowing you could sit next to the vet you donated them for.

As someone who has benefited from this kind gesture I want to say thank you. I was able to take myself and a fellow active duty marine to his first game at the big house and it was truly an amazing experience. Go Blue.

They will send out an email to prvious MGoVets and I believe put an announcment on their website. You have to regester and use the military code provided and then pick up the tickets the day before at the ticket office with proof of service or at the ticket counter on gameday.

With how high the ticket prices are, it's great to see more people get an opportunity to see Michigan in the Big House!!
GO BLUE!!

Just sold them the day before. Too bad they didn't get this message out a bit sooner.

As a season ticket holder, you may donate your UM/Air Force tickets to a deserving veteran or service member. Any U-M/Air Force tickets donated prior to August 11th will be distributed to current and former military members. To donate your tickets:
It kind of looks like anything donated now isn't going to be distributed to the military.

I think they are still given to Vets. Last year I registered as a vet to get tickets but didn't make the cut since its first come first serve. But then a week before the game received an email saying they had received even more and they now had tickets. Was an awesome feeling being able to go after originally being told they were all given out. So if you give tickets even later than the above date I believe they still go to veterans.

Awesome to hear. I missed this earlier and wanted to donate once I heard, so I went into my email and saw that. Count on 2 more tickets being donated...
