well see...they suffered tough LB injuries last year too but dudes stepped up and played well (ie watt hadnt done much entering last year) without much dropoff...cichy has been a beast, hell be tough to replace and itll be tough to do it 2 years straight...but well see as wisc always seems to have a few talented LBs to play in that system.

feel for the kid though...injuries always suck but even more so during camp or early on after putting in months of hard work and looking forward to balling with your boys and reaping rewards of that time / effort

I hate fall camp and opening weeks injuries like this. I feel so bad for kids that probably worked their asses off for 8-9 months only to have to miss the whole season. Hopefully, he gets a year of eligibility back from the NCAA for this.

It was just a well placed gif. No harm intended. Probably no one on this board is going to lose sleep over Jack Cichy's ACL, (which has apperantly torn 3 times today) including me. It sucks for the young man and I hope he has a speedy recovery and gets a medical redshirt if that is what he desires.

I am sorry to cause some butt hurt by using John Candy to call you an insensitive asshole...

He never said that he was glad the kid got hurt. I'm sure none of us would wish something like that. He was simply making the thought that this isn't a negative for our game against them. It's oK to wonder aloud how situation A affects situation B. Everything will be just fine my friend.

One of their best defensive guys. But Wisc. is still going to be a very, very solid team again this year. I'm just as nervous about that game as OSU or PSU. I'm expecting another low scoring game with the winner pulling out the victory end.

I hate it when great players go down.  He was fun to watch  (when not playing against us). That will make it harder for Wisc this year but they are still the favorite in the West.

Better for us, but I'm not about to start shouting at the top of my lungs in joy...glass houses and all that.  Sorry the young man will miss his season...he will be playing on Sundays for sure.

Damn that sucks. He was a good one to say the least, and he's got a future in the league. Huge blow for Wisconsin's defense.

That being said, they're still going to be an incredibly tough out in Madison. They develop great talent there out of a bunch of generic three star guys. I still expect a very tight, low-scoring game.

Sucks for the kid...  I feel bad for Wiscy, too - they've had a bunch of LB injuries the last couple of years.  I can respect UWs program - they line up and play hard, and they're good at it...

That absolutely sucks.  As a college football fan, this is a big dissapointment.

He was all over the field against us last year.  A first-rate player.  Much respect.

Is there any other sport that loses more players each year due to injury than football?  It's really out of control.

Tonya Harding would not agree with the sentiment,"Too bad. I want to beat opponents at full strength."

These threads are why I hold my breath every time I look at MGoBlog during Fall Camp. I'm sure someone will come out of camp dinged up. Let's just hope it's not as bad as this.

Sucks for Wisconsin, sucks for fans who like to watch football and great football players, sucks for Cichy.

The ACL needs to figure out how to be better imo. Get your shit together ACL.
