Alternate jersey mock-up
Someone on twitter shared this me. I made a small adjustment to our 1997 Road jerseys by placing the jumpman on them.
Here is a mock up of that jersey idea everyone liked but on a 2016 photo.
That just looks right.
I love our all-white road uniforms, but that NEEDS to come back at some point.

Wouldn't it be awesome to go into that game both undefeated and ranked in the top 5, wearing almost the same unis that were worn when a similar situation played out 20 years prior.
I can't wait for that game

That being said, I would love to go into State College, gameday in town, and ruin their perfect season. Preferably in a very comfortable win. Fuck Penn State.

what a terrible thing to say.

If it's not Sandusky or JoePa/JayPa, I'm not really interested in wishing harm on anyone, and especially not on our own players just to harm one of their's worse.
Don't do that. With everything about concussions and CTE, you can't go there. Unless you yourself have played ball, and been willing to sacrifice your own health . . . for the rest of your life, how can you even think of that? Not cool.

Yup. I'm looking forward to the PSU game so much. I think they're a good team, but the love fest for them right now is off the charts and I just don't get it. McSorley is nothing to be scared off and, from what I have read, they lost some key players. I know Michigan did, too, but PSU doesn't have the talent level that UM does to fill positions. Bring them on.

Our traditional road uniform should not be considered an alternate. I like the all-white, too, but it should be the alternate.

Isn't this the same thing as we saw yesterday??? Double OP-ing yourself?

All I did was take an old photo and throw a jumpman on there.
This is a much better photo and is current. Plus, it's a slow day.

It's different, but he could have put it all in one thread...

It's similar, but he did explain that in the post...

Wonder what this would look like mocked up with the maize socks that were revealed last week.

...with alternate jerseys provided they're throwbacks (actual throwbacks, not the bumblebee trash tornado nonsense). These look great.
Yeah, but our current road uniforms are already throwbacks from an even older date so the alternates would actually be a throw forward from our current uniform.

There we go. Something modern, but still has the classic look.

But we get a BUTTLOAD of cash to have the Jumpman logo on everything. Right now, that's special. Once every Tom, Dick and Rutgers starts wearing Jumpman, I'll agree with you.

That picture does not quite look right as a '97 throwback.
But if all you did is take a '97 picture and put a Jumpman logo on it, I'll take your word for it.
Must just be that specific picture.
Not sure if that's an actual '97 picture since it is at MSU on what appears to be grass. They had turf in '97.
But whatever, we can get the idea. It's this with a Jumpman logo on it instead of a swoosh:

You don't remember that great McDoom jet sweep in the '97 MSU game?
August 9th, 2017 at 12:23 PM ^
That is McDoom from last year. The touchup was the striping/piping, not the Jumpman.
OK, I get it now. I'm a little slow.
So, he put a jumpman logo . . . on a 2016 mockup . . . of a 1997 jersey?
Seems legit.
Wouldn't it have been easier to just put a jumpman logo on an actual 1997 jersey?

Just once I'd like to see a bowl game throwback jersey with the bowl logo on the shoulder pads like the 90s. It was the perfect place to put the imagery instead of cluttering up the front of the jersey like the most conferences do nowadays. Loved that look!

I am still trying to find that specific Woodson jersey.
Want.

where they snuck an 11 into the logo because we had 11 teams. Ah, those pre-Nebraska days were good. The only better times were the pre-Penn State days.

Google search showed that a guy was selling one last year on eBay for $500...
Less want than earlier today.

Shoulderpads are much smaller now than they were in 1997. I'm not sure you could get the same look today.
Yes, thankfully they are far smaller. Those bulky pads back in the early aughts and before look ridiculous.
