Make the jerseys blue and I'd be all for it. :)

Seriously, it wouldn't be my first choice (as it reminds me too much of West Virginia, which I'd admit is an emotional response rather than a reasoned one), but it wouldn't be my last, either. (That, of course, would be some combo of maize and white.)

...we'll be expected to change our catch phrase to "Go Maize." IMHO in recent years the whole maize thing is detracting from the concept of "Go Blue." I feel like M is suffering from duo-color personality disorder.

Is maize to be considered the accent color or should it be allowed to become the dominant? I prefer it to be an accent color only.

I say all of this with the full realization that maize is a dominant color, while dark blue is a recessive one. The eye is attracted to maize before blue.

But, then again, what the hell do I know?

We have more than one color. Just because we say go blue doesn't mean we shouldn't use maize as the main color for the stadium. I don't understand why it's such a problem for some people, West Virginia and Iowa regularly execute gold outs and Penn State has their famous white outs, but we can't have a maize out?

Yellow on yellow always sounds better than it actually winds up looking.

You think you are going to get a look that's the Fab Five on grass, but instead you get Big Bird.

"As a Buckeye fan, I'd like to think I have a healthy mix of hatred and respect for the Michigan football program."

Sorry but after reading that I kinda new where this heading.  Not a fan.

I hate them because I'm supposed to hate them.

...but inside, I don't actually hate them.

Edit: Not a huge fan of the maize stitching on the blue. The rest is fine...I mean, I hate it. Bad, bad, bad!

Separate of the fact that I never want us to wear alternate uniforms again for the rest of time, this is an interesting concept that the author seems to have worked very hard on.

However, I don't know that the concept looks good when actually created. The winged helmet shoulders sound cool in theory but look kind of unnatural in practice. It'd be interesting to see on another team though. Maybe when we officially conquer and annex Rutgers we can make them wear these.

But if we wore maize on maize (or these) in a Spring Game and actually made it Maize vs. Blue...I wouldn't have a meltdown.

If QB's wore these in practice, I'd live.

Hell, I may even enjoy either of those scenarios assuming the team was playing well and Harbaugh was the coach...because those things are far superior.

But if they ever wore these in a game, including a bowl game. I'd be right next to Bando holding the duct tape over WD's mouth while we charged the field in protest.

Fuck this, burn it with fire, burn your eyes with fire if you think it's a good idea, burn your whole body with fire and you should feel bad that it would me happy to watch you burn in fire because I'm a nice guy.

I was prepared to hate it out of principle but it's not the worst thing I've ever seen. I dig the winged shoulders, though I'd also like to see what the back of the jersey looks like.

I also like how the maize bumper on the helmet blends in to the wings. It's so much better than the old white design.

im curious too. is it blue with 3 yellow stripes like the helmet? how does the number fit in with all that. or is it also maize? how the back looks is kind of important when giving an opinion on whether something is 'good' or not. absent that, the safe bet is to just go with the normal unis and call everythign else crap
