OT: Game of Thrones S7 E4- The Spoils of War
The moment of this show that I'm anticipating most - now that Jamie is 100% certain Tyrion did not kill joeffrey - is the meeting between Jamie and Tyrion. If that ever happens

I wonder how heavy Jamie's armor is.

At the beach's edge.
Armor does increase the degree of difficulty in the swimming portion of his day.

certainly doesn't help.
...that is some dropoff in that body of water! This perfectly captures it!
This does happen in rivers pretty consistently. Shallow enough to get your canoe stuck and 5 ft to the left it's 14+ feet deep! They went a little overboard with the wide shot making it seem like an ocean though...
Eh, I think Jamie has known all along that Tyrion had nothing to do with Joffrey's murder. He did tell Bronn, though, that if he ever sees Tyrion again, he will split him in two for killing Tywin. Whether or not he meant that remains to be seen. I have my doubts that Tyrion will ever die in this show.
He did kill daddy though.

Shit gold :)
That Tywin is Tyrion's daddy, I mean.
And he knew it too.
This episode going to be LIT!!!
Dany is up against the ropes, now we'll see what she's made of.
Cersei will get arrogant with all of her recent successes and make a big mistake. Or Euron will betray her. The odds will be evened soon enough.
I always remember what Tywin said to her a few seasons back, and it will be realized this season. "I don't distrust you because you're a woman. I distrust you because you're not as clever as you think you are."
Lit.
Damnit, I watched like half of the leaked scenes on youtube yesterday. I couldn't resist. It is bomb though imho.
Just watched it. Top 5 episode for sure. That's all I'll say...
Tell us more.
What did Bran say to Littlefonger that startled him about chaos? I couldn't make it out.
Chaos is a ladder.

Thank you! Because "chaos is Atlanta" just didn't seem right.
I don't know ... if you've ever driven in Atlanta, "chaos" is a pretty good description.
Peachtree
It's the same phrase LF said to Varys. Bran was showing LF he knew what LF has done.

Embed for Board: "Chaos is a ladder" from the confrontation between Littlefinger and Varys at the Iron Throne in season 3, episode 6.
He recited one of Littlefinger's sayings. It made Littlefiger uneasy and he knows he has to leave.
An f'ing beast.

He jumped into the deep end with armor.

Bronn doesnt do armor
Someone could probably CSI it. Dude is everywhere if so.
Without the benefit of replay, my thought is that was DIckon (young guy Jaime whose name Jaime can never remember). Jaime of course makes it out, but Dickon drowns.
the dragon since it came right up to the wagon he was on and torched it as he jumped off. So he was definitely right there. Pretty sure it was him. And he doesn't wear armor so he'll live. I'm hoping he's able to save Jaime. Really want to see those two and Tyrion reunite. Would settle for a Bronn-Tyrion reunion though.

It could have been Jorah saving Danny. He was at Oldtown when he was healed & that's close by.
August 7th, 2017 at 10:29 AM ^
Jamie was about to get torched, whoever it was was definitely saving him, not Dany
August 7th, 2017 at 11:13 AM ^
That was definitely Bronn. I watched in slow-mo last night afterwards, and whoever saved Jaime was wearing the exact same clothing Bronn did. For a split second I thought it might be Tyrion, but whoever saved Jaime was way too tall for it to be Tyrion. In other words, would've been too much of a coincidence to not have been Bronn.
Jorah would've been extremely odd in that scene. I think he makes his entrance by returning to Dany and preventing her from doing something truly awful. Kind of one of those "this is not who I served and fell in love with" kind of moments.

Bronn is also comfortable being who he is, and not someone else. Watching him laugh his commoner ass off at the Rickon/Dickon exchange was awesome.
August 7th, 2017 at 11:51 AM ^
Bronn or Arya?
They're both killin it these days.
End it short and leave you wanting more! Bad ass battle scene! Can't wait until next week.

The Dothraki rode in like Genghis Khan!

I wonder if that's who GRRM was inspired by with the Dothraki.

Having just listened to

That was always my feeling. They live essentially on the Steppe, they are skilled nomadic horesemen, and they travel in hordes.
Seeing them on the horses shooting arrows was bad ass.
No horses save fantasy horses could charge that long, though.
Gotta love the tension build up in this episode. I've never been a big Dany fan, but I was pulling for her in this one.
August 6th, 2017 at 10:14 PM ^
As was I, but I was also pulling for Jaime and Bronn.

it isn't really good vs. evil, in the typical straightforward narrative sense. Most characters are complex enough to have a good and evil streak. Bronn and Jaime have been two of the most likable characters in show, yet they fight for one of the most evil against a herione that has at times been noble and honorable and others, not so much.
Jamie did try and kill Bran by pushing him off the ledge.
there is good and evil in everyone.
Haven't seen where the good comes from in the white walkers though....
