OT: Best Show You Are Currently Watching Not Named Game Of Throne's

Submitted by CarlosSpicyweiner21 on
Always looking for a good show to watch. Currently I am watching Friends From College on Netflix and just watched a few episodes of Wet, Hot, American Summer: Ten Years Later. Next up is Ozark. What are you currently watching that you think others should start up next?

The actor who played Joffrey did an amazing job. He was just the easiest character to hate pretty much ever. The kid on The Strain is just a fucking awful actor and drags every scene hes around down.

Ozark is good, just finished watching the first season today. Quite a bit of scenery from the Atlanta area. It must've been filmed here. When I shoot the hooch, I know I usually pull out at Jones Bridge which is where the fly fishing scenes are shot along with a scene between Marty and Del. For a great show that's a little older, watch Deadwood.

Well I'm probably gonna be the only here who said it but My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

I don't have any tattoos but I can appreciate the art form. If I ever did get tattooed, I would get a block M on one shoulder and "ST3" in olde English script like the Tigers D on the other. I have started watching HBO's news show Vice. I think they do a good job presenting interesting stories.

It's not for everyone, but I love it. It's the most no-holds-barred creative thing on TV. It makes me laugh, it creeps out, it repeatedly makes me think "what the ___" but whatever mode it's in, it entertains.

I also can't wait for season 3 of Mr Robot.

I'm into season 3 but can't lie - it is disapointing. Up until the killer is revealed in season 2 it was the best tv by far. This season is better than what followed the reveal, and it is quite a bit of fun, but I just really want them to recapture the magic of the start. They opted to go in a different direction. I'll get over it.

GOT is very good, but not in my all time great show list. Looking forward to seeing another season of True Detective (I think they're making it?) and the next season of Westworld. These are the two shows that have had the highest quality, to me, since Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

There are plenty of good shows out there, I'm sure. I have trouble delving in to new shows, so I try to limit myself to very good /great. Not much to choose from at the moment, imo.

Game of Thrones is one of the most overrated TV Shows ever. Anyways, I'm rewatching Curb Your Enthusiasm and Cheers at the moment. As for newer shows, Ozark was good although the way they wrote his teenage daughter was extremely annoying and cliche. But besides that I like everything else.

I agree on GOT. I watched a couple episodes a few years ago with a friend and I just didn't get into it. I find it really annoying to have to constantly tell people that I just don't like the show. Nobody that likes the show can accept the fact that I don't like it.

I watched one episode of Ozark and I plan on watching more of that. Just finished season 2 of Last Chance U and that was a really good watch to get ready for the season. It's also really interesting to see some of the players from D1 schools that are trying to get their shit together. The QB from FSU that punched a girl in the face is in season 2.

I often find myself going back to rewatch The Office when I'm between shows. I'll only watch through season 5 or 6, though. That's when the show really starts going downhill even though it's my favorite show ever.

I don't think I would have liked GOT if I hadn't read the wiki page for the first couple of episodes after I watched them. It can be very difficult to understand wtf is going on and who is who without some sort of summary or knowing the books. After the first several episodes, though, the story became a lot more enticing and now I really like it.

I really did, I gave up midway through season 2 when I realized the show just couldn't hold my attention like other programs. I'm told I quit watching right before it got good but I don't feel like I am missing much. Maybe I wasn't as active on Twitter when Breaking Bad was around but it feels like the #GOThive is far larger than BB's ever was. Anywell, enjoy your sodomy and dragons, I will be ok without it.
