That was the most bizarre game ever. Mike Hart was fumbling the ball all over the place. After all the years of Lloydball, it felt like he was trying to tell RichRod he knew how to coach an exciting offense too.
Despite the turnovers, I feel like if we called an offensive gameplan like that during his tenure, Lloyd would've had a few more conference titles at least.

I still wonder what would've happened in 2006 if we opened up the offense against OSU in the first half. Same goes for all those other road games where we either went into a shell too soon or broke out of a shell too late.

The George Rogers game...Mr. Heisman. Ugh. We played like crap that day with a hangover from a crushing last minute loss to ND the prior week. However, the team never lost after that game and went on to win Bo's first Rose Bowl.
If I remember correctly they had three trips into the red zone that they didn't get any points out off (two turnovers in the first half and a pass off Anthony Carter's fingertips at the end of the game). Ugly, ugly loss.

After OSU vacated their win over Arkansas in the 2011, they fell back to 0-9. Owen Nine would have be a nice avatar name if you wanted to troll Eleven Warriers back then.
They are now 2-10 against the SEC in bowl games.

Michigan would still be 17-11 against the SEC, but I would also propose that it would be fair we eliminate our 'Black Hole' of football history (2009-2014). That would make our record 17-8.........
Or we can just keep all the data and take the good (Vandy beat downs) with the bad (The 'Black Hole').......
Bottomline, we have a good history against the SEC. If I recall correctly, I believe that we are the only B1G team team to have a winning record.......
That 1965 game was my first. The GA card section made a huge confederate flag.
It was decades before an SEC team played another game north of the Mason-Dixon line.
Dan Devine coached MO for the 1959 and 1969 wins, at the Big House, and Notre Dame in their 1979 win in A2.
i think the real record is how many SEC coaches called hookers and had affairs with their support staff VS Michigan coaches.

6-4 since 2000, during SECs supposedly dominant period. Alabama has been dominant since Saban, but rest of SEC less so.

Nothing worse than driving through SEC country and the best I could get was a "neutral" broadcast crew that thought the SEC Network had started already.
SEC teams (rightfully) for not traveling north, but if this list is correct we have only played one true road game at an SEC school in what we'll call the modern age of college football. Granted lots of bowls and kickoff games are in SEC country but the bottom line is true home and homes need to happen.
Once you take away the beatings of those poor unranked teams, assuming for the most part UM was ranked and you compared a ranked UM team to a ranked SEC team, it seems about 50/50. I'd be curious to know what UM was ranked in those matchups.
I was at the '77 A&M game, the 1980 South Carolina game, 2000 Bama game, the 2016 Florida game and, sadly, the 2013 South Carolina game. I think the '13 S. Car. game was the beginning of the end for Hoke though it was a close game against a good team.
