Harris played in all 13 games last season and started in eight at safety. Overall in 2016, the Orlando, Fla. native totaled 73 tackles, four tackles-for-loss, one sack, two interceptions, one pass breakup, one quarterback hurry, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Harris has appeared in 37 games during his career at UF.

would wish him a full and speedy recovery, and thoughts and prayers, but I doubt very much that he has any interest in what I think or say.

Sorry to see our young WRs miss out on an important test early, however I'm sure this tips the scales a bit in our favor in that matchup. Be very interested to see if Speight aggressively attacks this defense now without their best DB

I wish him a speedy recovery and I hope the NCAA does the right thing and grants him a 6th year. Knowing them, they won't, but we can dare to dream.

That being said, this definitely improves our chances for winning that game. Florida's defense will be a stiff enough challenge, and this opens the throwing window for Speight and a crop of very talented but inexperienced receivers just a little bit more.

It might open up throwing windows for Speight, but it also depends on how Florida decides to compensate.  Do they put a nickel or dime guy back there to compensate?  Or at least cheat LBs back further away from the LOS to help out in coverage?j If so, it would ease up the pressure on our O-Line & running lanes.

But they could also just go as-is & see if maybe our young WRs have a hard time getting open even with a diminished Florida secondary and/or our O-Line has a hard time in pass protection.

Either way, it should make things a bit easier for our offense.  Stinks the player though, especially if it's a season-ender and he's a 5th year senior.  This is absolutely what those 6th year redshirts should be used for.  Hopefully he gets it.

And not a fun injury.  Hopefully, the young man can make a full recovery and get back to playing ball.  Feel bad for him, but we must still destroy them.

their best DB out for the season is no way to start fall camp. That injury thing is so random ... a finely tuned athlete tears an ACL in running drills? Feel bad for the guy, 5th year leader poised for a breakout year and then get drafted. He is the poster-child for granting a 6th year.

horrible. always feel bad about season ending injuries, but I have a soft spot for these fall camp season enders. they work hard all off season and are ready to play...then this. I think Mone's first injury was in fall camp and it stung

Sucks for the kid, hope he fully recovers in time for whatever NFL chance he might have had...  I'd rather win games outright than aided by injury to an opponent.

Sucks for him, wish him a fully and speedy recovery.  Will definitely make things easier for us week 1 though - I don't care if we're playing them at full strength or against a practice squad, wins a win and I want it, and no pollster's going to remember come November that Florida was down a safety, they're just going to see we thumped them.
