RIP Martin Landau

1928-2017.

A classic, genre-defining career.  My personal favorite is The Return of the of the Six-Million-Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman.

It's crazy that these old guys keep dying.

In 1955, only 2 young actors out of 2000 who auditioned were selected to join the Actor's Studio in NY:  Martin Landau and Steve McQueen.

not to be an ass but is it really "crazy" that an 89 year old died? it sounds like he had a pretty amazing life. 89 is a good age

Has to be Ed Wood. "Home? I haff no home!" He gets bonus points for calling Boris Karloff a "cocksucker" while portraying Bela Lugosi

Rolland Hand in Mission Impossible and Leonard in North by Northwest - sidekick to Vandamm played by James Mason and nemesis to Cary Grant / Roger Thornhill - besides Space 1999 and Ed Wood! Superb actor and stood the test of time. Married to Barbara Bain - Cinnamon. What a cool man and accomplished actor - in Cleopatra, as well. Again Rest In Peace and God Bless Martin.

My go-to for Martin Landau is the cult sci-fi series Space:1999 from the late 70s. If you've never seen it, and you like a little camp with a porno-funk soundtrack, look it up. A lot of the episodes are on YouTube. Completely bonkers.

Love Space: 1999 and his Commander Koenig character

some really esoteric episodes in there... Season one was particularly great...

My favorite Landau part however, has got to be North by Northwest...one of the all time movies imo

lol... yeah, its an amazingly crafted movie... though its funny to see it in the light of today's technology...

Cary Grant would have never been mistaken for the govt agent since, there would have been no page shouting his name in the hotel dining room: we all have cell phones!

but still the scene on Mt.Rushmore? chills

What if I were to tell you that you'd have a long, historic career, would that be something you might be interested in? RIP Martin Landau
