Michigan Football ticket secondary market is gonna be a melee
Single game tickets went on sale to all of us sub-75 point donors today.
- OSU and MSU are completely sold out
- Cincinnati, Rutgers(!) are down to single seats stranded
- Air Force has seats together but they're in not ideal sections so basically throw that one onto the single seats list
- Minnesota is the game with the highest number of seats left
Demand is crazy. Last year I was buying multiple seats for Penn State, Wisconsin, Indiana on MGoBlue week of.
Single game tickets go on sale to those who don't have any priority points tomorrow. Good luck.
Brace yourselves. Stubhub melees are coming. Get ready to get bent over in "service fees".
Minnesota game.
4 tickets for the family - $340.00, Gas $40.00, Parking $30.00, Concessions $30.00(minimum), Dinner $50.00(minimum), Misc. $10.00(minimum).
Cost of attendance = $500. Likely $600.
Just isn't happening. I am die hard but the idea of going to more than one game every few years ended when my kids were born. My dad took me to games when I was a kid and I think we got in and out of the stadium for $100. Stinks that sporting events are very seldom family affairs anymore. The good news is that I am becomming very knowledgeable about high school athletics in the area. $20.00 for the family.
You can cut out dinner by tailgating after and cooking up on the grill!
for tailgate - $40.
Alcohol for tailgate - $30.
Price just went up.
The only thing I am thinking is that is not a lot of alcohol.
of Miller Light and a pint of....... Smirnoff?
and go with a case of warm natty and burnetts
Am I the only one who drinks less alcohol on game day now? I don't want to drink as much as I did during the RishRod years.
Better team means increased ticket demand/cost.... but that may be offset in less money spent on beers before or after the game.
You come to our tailgate on Potter off Main in the first grass lot on the right and we'll feed you. We usually have leftovers.
Foods getting better and better. We made our own bdubs boneless wings last year that were better than the real thing.
their wings are better than average, and can actually be good to great with the right sauce choices. It is their prices and atmosphere that kill it right now. Why can't BW3s get better TVs? The entire purpose of their business model is to attract sports fans for games, and they still have faded projection style TVs in their primary sections. You also cannot get out of their for less than $50 even if you grab a couple of beers and a snack. I got a tall Oberon and it was $9.00 Seriously. $9.00?
The last couple of times I have been to a BW3s, there were big local sporting events on and it was a ghost town. I think they can come back, and I would like them to, but they need to rethink a few things and really dedicate themselves to their concept again, and realize the economy is not what it was when they first opened. People aren't going to spend $75 to go watch a game at a bar with garbage TVs.
BDubs price inflation has outpaced that of healthcare for the better part of the last ten years. They need to check themselves.
True. I miss 35 cent wing nights.
discontinued dog shit a while back. That sauce did not get the response they were hoping for.
I'm with you...
BW3's is incredibly overrated. Their sauces have great variety and selection, but the actual chicken wing...the important part is SOOOOO inconsistent. And the prices are dumb. But I'd pay it if it wasn't like going through McDonald's at night...hit or miss.
Only thing is at least at McD's you know what you're getting into and if it's a fail, it's $6.
At BDubs $6 barely gets you celery and ranch or blue cheese...(just one, not both).
Yeah, it's pretty sad. People get ugly over him for some reason.
you serve Hot BBQ or Parmesan Garlic I will be there.
Spicy garlic is like crack to me. My mouth waters, just thinking of that stuff.
too. Really they are all pretty good except their "Asian" style sauces. Those taste like bad General Tao chicken to me.
Buffalo and desert heat have been my go to's for awhile now.
You can buy it at bdubs. We have, and use it on wings at home. It is also great on popcorn (but only if the popcorn is buttered -- if not, you breath it in, and cough like crazy).
Yep, agreed. Spicy BBQ is fantastic, followed by Spicy Garlic for me. I also second the poster up the thread who recommended the Desert Heat dry rub. Sometimes I'll get the tenders grilled, dry rubbed in dry heat, with sides of Spicy BBQ and Spicy Garlic for dipping and go to town.
Agree on these...ever tried Asian Zing? Or something like that...whatever it is, it's good.
They have a Mango Hab that is also really good.
I fuck with their sauces, the wings are usually overrated 8 times out of 10. I stopped going altogether.
I even think Wild Wing Cafe is better for those in NC, SC, and GA.
My family has been tailgating next to that house in our lot (Jack's lot) for almost 40 years.
You may have been there when I went to my first game in 2004. That's crazy! We always make sure to take a look at the game that's going on on the big TV in that garage at that house!
How does one "cook up" on a grill? Can't one simply "cook" on a grill?
It's the same principles of physics that make the toilets flush in the opposite direction in Australia.
Give it a rest, Sydney.
This is so true. I remember going to games with my dad and his buddy who had season tickets. Breakfast, a stop at the Village Apothecary so they could split a pint during the game, concessions, and Bicycle Jims for dinner probably ended up costing both of them $100.
I kept my season tickets when we left Ann Arbor, mainly so my dad can still go to the games, but it ain't cheap. Now throw in the flight from SD to MI, and we are talking at least $1000 for a single game (without bring the rest of my family). Still try to get back for at least one game a year, but it's hard to rationalize the cost.
Have been in Spearfish for a week now. I could move here and I envy you...
now, I am about to head back to southeast michigan and I'm not looking forward t the 20 hours in a car.
On the topic of tickets. I went to OSU and and to MSU last year. This year I am going to Wisconsin. I usually go to a game or two other games as well. Just pay the cost of a ticket and it is never not worth it. Unless you can't afford it, then watch with friends from the pleasure of your home.
