In recruiting 4 star NY TE Jeremy Rucker, Rucker states, “Coach Meyer texts me every day. He texted me this morning,” Ruckert said. “He doesn't just text me, either. He texts my family and my girlfriend and sends letters to my girlfriend's mom."

If it is a one time thing, fine, but I would be a little uncomfortable with a grown man I don't personally know very well frequently texting my teen daughter and penning letters to my wife like Meyer seems to be doing, but maybe thats just me.
the Harbaughs didn't leave a job over a heart condition (wink, wink if you catch my drift).

Harbaugh has been very successful on the recruiting trail even if Connor Murphy didn't work out.
So hard to know the antics when it is landing recruits - even if I would personally feel uncomfortable doing it myself.
If he were doing this to my girlfriend trying to recruit me in high school, would I find it weird and off putting? Yes. But this all part of the current recruiting landscape these days.
I read from one guy that Meyer should get a raise for writing letters to recruits girlfriends mom. What a joke. Meyer would do anything to secure a recruit. I meen it is flat out insecure and weird and the osu fan base are the most hypicritical slobs on the face of the earth. Boy if things ever go south for Meyer and his minions I could see a major breakdown. Since Meyer will do anything to secure a recruit I have to wonder what is going on behind the scenes down in Columbus. They talk about Harbaugh and they have Meyer, Schiano and Wilson running their bullshit program. Fuck that shit state and the weirdo's at osu.

Agreed. I would think it was creepy regardless. That said, I'd probably point it out as creepy when it is Meyer and not comment if it were Harbaugh. There's a certain amount of hypocrisy inherent to being a fan.

OSU fans thought it was creepy when Jay Harbaugh did it. For some reason, they seemed to have changed their tune, though. Can't imagine why.
For the record, I thought it was creepy when Jay did it and still do now that Urban has. I see no reason a grown man needs to write to a teenage boy's girlfriend.
However it seems to work given Meyer's recruiting success. The fact that a coach who barely uses his TEs brings in an OC that has zero use for TEs is the leader for the #1 TE in the country says something.

OSU fans mercilessly mocked Harbaugh for the things he did on the recruiting trail... Meyer texting a recruit's GF is right on that razor's edge..possibly over it, considering Meyer's past history...
