Michigan just picked up their first commit from the class of 2019 in IMG linebacker Charles Thomas, the highest rated ILB on 247’s list of 2019 M targets. According to 247’s Brandon Justice, Thomas committed to Michigan in April; today’s visit reinforced that decision. Today’s unofficial visit is the first for Thomas since he unofficially visited Clemson in March, which might be worth noting since his only other unofficial before that was last October to—you guessed it—Clemson.

Thomas is a 6’0”, 222-pound inside linebacker who, if his sophomore film is any indication, is a hard-hitting, very intuitive ‘backer whose athleticism will play well in Don Brown’s system. He doesn’t have a ranking in the 247 composite yet, but he’s a four-star to 247, which ranks him 196th overall and fourth among ILBs.

Ace will have a full Hello post in the next day or so.

It's hard to pull highly rated guys out of the south and we've been able to do it consistently within one state. Kinda wild the momentum we have going in Georgia

Harbaugh is building a monster.  Right now, he is the bringing forces about that are creating a perfect storm for recruiting.  Pro experience, personality, innovation, motivation, hard work, winning, fame, and tradition are all on JH's side.

I don't know that in will be 2019, and the classes he has signed so far have already been super impressive, but the MONSTER CLASS is on the horizon.

Buckle up.

Recruiting is poised to explode (*not that it's bad right now) in 2019. Especially if this team can put together another double digit win season. A lot of momentum building with this program, they have to find a way to keep it going.
