Sparty White Helmets
It looks like nothing was put on the board about this, but MSU has brand new white helmets which they will be debuting against Western Michigan on Sept. 9

What are your thoughts on this guys? I suppose it makes a lot of sense since white is one of their two colors and many teams have added white helmets in recent years. Hopefully Western ruins the debut of these.
I thought their new alt helmet was all red with a lock on the side.
The new "3 to 9 reasons" - I like it.
Can't wait for Netflix to air that this fall.

So I see the Spartans have taken a page out of my Cleveland Browns book of trickery. Smart move Sparty.....very smart. Here in Cleveland we were so dazzled by our exciting new unis we barely noticed just how badly we sucked these past two years.
Maybe it'll work for them too.
Before we know it they'll be rebranding (Stringer Bell style). They'll now be known as The University of Michigan State hoping that'll improve consumer confidence.

I will say that while I've always been partial to the orange-white-white look we rocked during the Kosar era, the new uniforms are pretty low on my list of Browns-related greivances. Sure, they're um... less attractive than M's home uniforms, but the Browns new duds will look a shitton better when and if they ever start winning in them - to me, *that's* the most important factor governing whether a uniform looks good.

I like when I can recognize a helmet for a team.
I think they look sharp. White at home is kind of a weird move (especially against Western Michigan of all schools) but it looks much better than the bronze and the matte green on green alternate helmets Staee has had in years past.
I've heard they also have matching brand new white flags that they'll be deploying early in the third quarter of their game against us.
It'd be cool if they ran out and planted it midfield.
