I do see that Natalie Weiner Tweeted sarcastically that "writing about sexual violence is fun and risk free." Implying that she has been put at "risk."

A. He's not a great human being, and hasn't learned a thing.
B. If you can play, the NFL/teams put up with a lot.
C. It is fun to shit on other colleges, but remember Michigan has had several terrible people walk through Schembechler Hall's door. Thankfully, the athletic department has seemingly done their best to stop such transgressions, unlike other schools.
definitive statement made about someone who made a mistake at age 21...and said something to a reporter. Nah, I'm sure that's a fair assessment of a 25 year old.

I'm not a fan of Clark (or Lewan or other Michigan players)...but this thread is kind of weak in piling on Frank Clark. It was a rude comment, that's it.
It was a rude demeaning comment toward women directed at a particular woman because she wrote a completely factual story that tangentially involved Clark a couple years ago.
Not something a great human being does.
Heck - it's not even something I would do (much less the other stuff) and I'm FAR from a great human being.

So it was a bit more than a rude comment. If he made it to some other woman, it might be just a rude comment - but there is context and a past here.
The fact that she's a woman really has nothing to do with it. I don't get why her gender makes her less capable of handling a rude comment. It's a rude comment, period.

It's verbal abuse of a woman - by a man who has a history of domestic violence against women.
The fact that she is a woman has a lot to do with it - because Frank Clark seems to have a problem controlling himself with respect to women.
I'm sure she can handle it - but it says quite a lot about Clark's attitude toward women.
OP: Most of the people who read your post will probably see eye-to-eye with you, but it's usually best to just present the news.
I think the whole point of the board is to react to M related news. I appreciate people that take a second to summarize or discuss a topic. I'd rather see this than something link: Clark says mean thing: LINK. A huge chunk of sports is discussing opinions. If the OPs opinion is out of line, the board will smack him down.
sometimes present information without the opinion though. It's like watching ESPN, I don't give a shit what 40 differnt people think about LeBron vs Jordan...just show me highlights.

I dunno. I think putting your helmet on the arm holding the ball and nealry killing a playmaker like Miller was a pretty good way to go on that one. Remember he is playing at full speed, not slow motion like the gif. Personally, I would rather knock out one of the best players in CFB (at the time) than get one for sure forced fumble that isn't guaranteed to be recovered by your own team.
but that comes with the turf of being a rich, famous athlete. Everyone else deals with it and beating up a woman is a sure fire way to make it much worse for yourself. Frank did not handle this well

If I remember correctly Frank was pretty upset about the whole thing. None of us know what happened in that hotel. The reporter took a shot or two at him at the time and he remembered it and told her what he thought of her years later. Nothing wrong with that IMO.
Anyone who says they don't have a few people they would love to see while they are riding high who had some shit to say to them at their lowest point is a liar.
We know there was a child running down a hotel hallway yelling "Frank is killing our sister." We've seen the pictures of the hotel room. There were police reports and statements and everything. So, yes, we do know what happened.
I'll never understand the instinct of the sports fan to try to augment reality when someone from their favorite team does something ghastly.

What I am saying is if Frank Clark isn't happy with how this journalist portrayed him at the lowest point of his life and he tweeted about her, I don't think there is anything wrong with that.
I'm with you up till the point you say there's nothing wrong with tweeting out that someone is going to wash out of their career and that he has a demeaning job for them.
If you do bad things, people will say bad things about you.
Imagine that.
And like this case, sometimes people will say factual things about you.
Give it 10 years. Chances are very good she'll still be a journalist and he'll be the one cleaning fish tanks if he's the typical athlete.
