Yes, please

Yes please, mgo-overlords.

  • Please get the new website up and running.
  • Please tell us when you think this will actually happen. Will it happen all at once? Will it be rolled out dribble by dribble.
  • Please tell us what features we can expect to see. Will we be able to page down the board easier? Will posting change? Editing? Will the site layout look different?

We are excitedly waiting.

I think the first new feature is all visitors to the site get their own Drupal website.  I was just getting ready to program mine when this one came back up.

Do you walk up to the pilot of a plane and demand he/she fly faster ?

Just sit down and shut up and enjoy what you have. Jesus Christ.

How is it that you feel entitled to something you do absolutely nothing to create AND you dont even pay for?

1. How do you know the OP doesn't "pay" via donation?

2. The OP may not "create" but has 14,000+ points, suggesting he's a regular contributor (and possibly a notable one, depending on how he amassed those points).

3. The site gets ad revenue from every page visit, so to act like there's no site income from visitor traffic is disingenuous.

Having said that...I, personally, don't feel entitled to specific content or a functional site (and since Signing Day, a functional app).  If the pilot doesn't fly fast enough for my taste (or if the airline is never on time or makes it difficult to puchase tickets or fly), there are plenty of other competitors or ways to travel.  If the site doesn't work, I lose interest in visiting, and my ad revenue (and/or donation) is lost.

You show a gaping lack of comprehension for how these things work. Without the board, this site is not the juggernaut it is. The board depends on people, such as the OP, to create content. Withouth them, the board does not function, and therefore it does not have the thousands of views every hour that it currently has. The ads you see on this page are directly related to those views, which are a product of the content. So maybe you should just take a mintue or two to think about how things work before you throw a childish fit.
