Danny Kannell fired POSBANG

A big cheers to never seeing his stupid turtleneck and blazer wearing self on the football Saturday airwaves again.
this news. Although I didn't like his takes and I'm glad he's off the air, I can't celebrate someone losing their job.
He'll be fine. His family will be fine. He made mad stacks of cash in the NFL and as a talking head for the mothership. Taking the high road here seems to be the right move. I'll lift a glass to him as he exits stage left. I'll also lift a glass to everyone who couldn't stand the word vomit that he spewed. Heres to better things. For him and for us.
Finally got one right. Please don't come back anytime soon.
I can't celebrate a layoff like this. ESPN makes money but all the bs sports rights cost big bucks and a lot of people get the axe.
but I'll pass on this one.
sorry, but his rant last week doomed his long term spot . Maybe he knew the writing was on the wall?
As somebody who's lost a job before, I can't celebrate this kind of thing. It's a terrible feeling and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Granted I don't make the kind of money these guys make, but my point stands.

Losing your job totally sucks, and if you've got a family - and worst of all, you're the sole wage earner - the anxiety can really take you down.
HAIL YES!!! Best ESPN decision of the day!!!

Do unto others and what not ....
I'm not a huge fan of Kannell but it's some pretty bad juju to dance when someone loses a job. Not gonna do it. There are worse out there. I'm sure he'll catch on somewhere but seeing a guy lose a premier job isn't something to laugh at, I'm sure it was his dream job. Shitty to laugh at that.
Yeah because no one has ever been fired or laid off undeservedly. That's one of the dumber takes I've heard in a long time but we each have to be comfortable going to sleep at night so if you like your mantra, go for it.
I didn't really like the guy either, not because he was a bad commentator; I don't think he was.
It's just that every time he had a chance to dis Michigan, that is what seemed to happen.
Nevertheless, I am not going to do a victory dance because the guy got axed from ESPN, who deserves to ax everybody, and then pull the plug on itself.
IMO, you'd have to be a dick to do that.
Better luck to him down the line, but fergodsakes, stop it with the Michigan disses.
