And she sucks and deserves to be critiqued.  Nothing to do with her gender, race, orientation, etc.  Spare us the PC crap.  Plenty of straight, white, men are bitches too, like the person of interest in the OP.

Someone is bad at their job.

They get fired.

Someone better can take their job.

Easy enough.

Someone is good at their job but is bringing bad publicity to their employer.

They get fired.

Someone can replace them and the PR crisis is over.

Someone is good at their job but is problematic with their coworkers.

They get fired.

Someone can replace them who does not disrupt/harrass/sour the work environment.

There are many, many scenarios where it does the greatest good for someone to be fired, sometimes even if they are well-liked, sometimes even if they are competent at their job.  This just happens to be a pubic figure who was recently causing grief to us fans and a player we adore, and. well. we are called ~fanatics~ for a reason.

This board lost its shit when David Brandon was fired, and was happy about Hoke and RichRod losing their jobs, so this is a glass house/stone kinda thing.

Danny Kannell deserved to be fired, he was, and the universe is closer to achieving balance.

Partly true but c'mon, the guy didn't get laid off the assembly line 2 weeks from collecting pension. This is a guy who once signed a 3 year $9.5M deal in the NFL. My guess is he was getting paid well into 6 figured to be radio host/analyst at ESPN and I'm sure he has a solid severence package on top of it. Not to mention he could probably get a dozen jobs tomorrow based on his notoriety. So yes, a guy lost his job, but its also a guy worth well into millions with plenty of job prospects, its not the same as most people.

Level of "sad-ness" people feel about another person losing their job:

= 1 / ((How much of a d-bag they were) * (how much they sucked at their job) * (size of their golden parachute) * (size of their Net Worth in the first place)).

Brandon had an astronomically large denominator in that equation.  Kanell's denominator is pretty substantial too.

We're not talking about some factory closing down where other available options are extremely limited. He's probably made more in his couple years there than most do in a decade. If ever I see him on an exit ramp with a sign, then I will apologize to him for enjoying this.

@814 East U - So very tired of the lectures on this blog about political correctness that essentially hijack the conversation.  It happens over and over again.  If you're offended by the topic, I suggest you refrain from clicking on it.  A post like that does not win anyone over to your thinking, and just pisses people off.

"I prefer classical economic theory to Keynesian" is an opinion.

"Jabrill Peppers was on drugs and also faked an injury to skip the bowl game" is at least half a flat-out lie, and slander that could affect a young man's career. Nobody in any profession should be able to use the platform they are given by their employer to negatively impact another person's employment/life without proper evidence behind their claims.

I don't know, you could become the President one day acting like that.
