Listening to these CSN streams makes me realized how spoiled we are with NBC's commentating teams. Most Fox Sports Etcetera crews are more pleasant to listen to than CSN...

I've been ruminating lately on the loss of Christopher Hitchens.  Like many people, I'm obsessed with videos of him on YouTube. How desperately we need his razor sharp reasoning these days to cut through the fog of truthiness.

Go Caps. I can't have them lose because there's no way the Leafs can beat the Caps and Pens in the same playoffs. And now that the Hawks are out the only team I'm truly rooting hard against is Pittsburgh

The first time I looked at the thread title, I thought it said, Friday Mediation...

The second time I thought it said Friday Meltdown thread...

Maybe I need to meditate.

Actually, beginning sometime in mid-August, we might begin with a Friday Night Mediation thread because there always seem to be diametrically opposed and unreasonably maintained positions and takes which begin to fly all over the place and there should be a place where they are properly mediated.

Damn. I was actually really intrigued, hoping people would be sharing tips and techniques. I've been trying to establish a daily meditation habit to reduce stress, depression, and anxiety and just can't get it to stick. :( I've tried using the Headspace app on my phone bc it seems the most accsessible and beginner friendly thing out there and even that isn't working for me. I even installed a habit-tracking app called Productive and still not working. Maybe I just suck at being an adult. *shrug* I think a problem might be that I'm aiming to do it in the morning and I'm not a morning person. Maybe I should just shoot for a different time of day? Or maybe I should just give up on it and do LSD? Anyways if there are any meditators on the board, help a brotha out with some advice.
