Going by the 119 players on last year's Texas roster, that's $1.2M for LOCKERS

What would you do with all the money that big time football programs make? I mean this is absurd, of course, but it's the concequence of NCAA rules. Every organization in the world competes for talent/personnel by spending money on said personnel. In a sane world they would do it by *giving* the money to them, but since that's banned you gotta do something else.
Turning lockers into jewelry displays is utterly ridiculous.
If they have so much money pouring out of their behinds, go invest in your other sports if Football is already taken care of.
Being that it's Texas, I'm sure they had just fine lockers before.
It's Texas. I'm guessing their other sports are well-funded and have their own multimillion dollar facilities just like we do.
You obviously don't understand the love of football only shared by a few states. If you go check out a high school, middle school football game in Texas, you'll see stadiums better than 80% of college digs.

It's not not the consequence of NCAA rules, it's just the use of consumer money, your preferred seating license at work.
It's a nice little benefit but it's not necessary. I'm not upset about it, I just wouldn't have put them in if I designed it.
All that Nike/Jordan brand stuff are little benefits that aren't necessary? You've stood in line for what other people would say is very unnecessary.
At least the players can charge up their phones or laptops while they're in practice.
Hasn't Michigan athletics spent or will be spending roughly $900 million on athletic department improvements since the Michigan Stadium redo started? All private money and I'm happy for the upgrades, but some might make an argument that the money might be spent other ways.
Consequently, I'm not about to criticize what other programs do.

It's easy to just say, "Whoa theyre more worried about how they look than just working!!! Not like Harbaugh!!!"

I agree that these Texas lockers are stupid in all kinds of ways, but phone chargers are over the top in the same way that indoor shitters are.
But...but... there's no way these poor schools can afford to pay players 
I would be pissed if Michigan wasted money like this...shocked a PS4 isnt included
as being a country club for soft, entitled 4 and 5 stars.
Is for the sole purpose of watching Michigan play for the NC as the Texas season will pretty much be over about the 3rd or 4th week of the season.
I'm not a professional designer, but those look like shit.
The lockers are a bit on the ugly side, but their uniforms are some of the best in the country. I put them 2nd behind you know who.
I had two related thoughts upon seeing those lockers:
1) Those are comicly hideous in their ostentatiousness.
2) I can't believe Oregon didn't come up with this idea first.
