Four Day Weekend: Good Friday - Better Monday

Submitted by Yo_Blue on

Being in the auto industry has its pluses and minuses.  One of the big pluses is usually having a four day weekend including Good Friday and what I call Better Monday.  Anyone else out there looking at four days off?

What are your plans (besides attending the Spring Game)?

Same situation here. I get tomorrow off but not Monday.

My mother-in-law work for the University and she gets neither day off actually. Not sure of that's a departmental thing or the school just does that. Either way, she keeps telling me I need to come in anyway tomorrow to make her feel less bad about it.

I'll pass by the building on the way to get cat food. Honest.

took Friday off so I could get extra time with the in-laws! And we're putting our house on the market, so I guess there will be a lot of "de-cluttering" involved as well.

I have today and tomorrow off to prepare for family coming to town this weekend. But looks like I'm working a bit from home this morning. On Saturday, we'll be taking a leisurely ride around Jordan Lake (NC) and attending a UNC baseball game, followed by dinner on Franklin St.

At some point there will be a political argument that's started by an inane joke. Because that's what we do.

I'll probably turn the games on in the 4th quarter and watch the ending. The amount of whistles and stoppage kill me, especially since I don't really care about any of the teams. I just want the Cavs to lose, always.

I only have three days off, but I'm going to eat some pot brownies tomorrow, party with my future wife on Saturday, and hopefully play hockey on Sunday. Should be a good time.

I'll be rather busy this weekend, which should come as zero surprise to anybody. Great stuff going, though.

Side note: I consider the Friday theory to be incorrect. Not a big deal, but that's the conclusion I've come to; consequently I don't celebrate "Good Friday" on Friday.

I almost have a four-day weekend. I work a softball game and then plan on taking Monday off since my wife gets it off. Can't wait!
