OT - Masters Sunday Open Thread

Jordan Speith has been making a charge, and finished 2-1-2 the previous three years. Who do you think has the fortitude to become this year's champion?

I'd like to see Fowler take another step foward and join the ranks of the other major winners, but I have a feeling it will be Spieth edging out Sergio. Hoping for an exciting finish.

in his game. That par on the 18th yesterday, that was a big shot. He idolized Seve Ballesteros, it would have been his 60th birthday today; I'm sure he'll be thinking of that. Justin Rose has been playing well and you can't count out Ricky Fowler; he's worked hard on his game as of late and its showing. I think it's going to be a great final round; Game on.

Hard to go against Spieth the way he got his putter going yesterday, but I am going to stick with Justin Rose. He just seems in complete control of his game right now.

I think we finally see Sergio win a major today. Hoffman will continue to struggle and fall down the leaderboard a little. Fowler will give Sergio a run for his money but I'd bet he keeps out in front. Though I just want to watch some good golf!

but I think Justin will be tough to beat coming off the gold medal, and playing well the last 16 holes yesterday.  If Sergio makes some putts, has a good shot as well.

There is a really good race going on right now for low amateur.   Curtis Luck was 6 back of Stewart Hagestad but just birdied 4 holes in a row on the back nine.  He's now only 2 behind.

This is quickly turning into the European Masters.  Sorry, but I always consider the US the "home team" on their own tours.

He was known for complaining and blaming others for bad shots. Also used to waggle his club 50 times before a shot,  taking forever to play.

He has sped up his play a bunch and toned down his act in the past 5 years, but the way he acted 10-20 years ago pissed off a lot of American golf fans.

Also, he was kind of labeled the next Tiger when he first came on the scene.

which is moving the driver around prior to swinging. It was annoying and people actually got to counting them as he did them. He's was kinda petulant as a youngster and threw temper tantrums. He got into issues with other golfers - he critized Tiger once who promptly rolled him in competition while Sergio struggled and faded away. He isn't the same guy he used to be but he still hasn't won a Major; everybody loves a winner and until that happens he's not going to get the general golf populace in his corner.

Another reason Sergio isn't liked here is he's helped Europe dominate in Ryder Cup play. The way he has handled himself with some of the idiot USA fans during cup play has really helped turn his image around.

Thought when Rose had a 2 stroke lead this thing was over because "Sergio gonna Sergio" but credit to him to fight back.  But that putt was "Sergio gonna Sergio".
