I was a State fan from the time I was born until that fateful day in the Fall of 1998 when I received an over sized envelope with an Ann Arbor mailing address on it. I don't see any rational reason not to cheer for them unless they're playing Michigan.

They are one of the prime competitors for recruiting targets, and the better they perform the more it sways guys to go there instead of here.

That and the whole couch-burning, pizza-delivering, inferiority-complexing, back-up school-catering (after Wisconsin, and then maybe Illinois or Penn State) aspect of the school and its student body really ought to be enough.

i think i could actually appreciate this MSU team if they didn't feel the need to grimace, smirk, smile, bitch, whine, guffaw, and make about 9 other facial expressions i can't name currently after every single incident.

Man if Beilein could have reeled in DeSean Butler, Hayward, or Green our team would have been completely different this year...

im going to root for MSu the exact same way that i root for my little brother. ik want to destroy him myself but he'd better uphold my family against others

Magic??? No sighting of him yet. I thought there'd be at least 10 shots of him by now...
And Obama playin POTUS? Interesting, but kind of annoying how much they talk about his bball prowess (PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a political statement. I'd be just as irritated if it was Bush, Clinton, Reagan, etc. Just an opinion)

wow imagine that. the Butler guy had a great steal, a breakaway and takes the easy bucket while keeping his mouth shut and hustling back on defense. the MSU players were stunned by such an illegal play.

Maybe I'm way off here but the officiating has been pretty consistent so far and even thought I've never heard of any of the three, they've done a pretty solid job.

Even though they play a more physical style of basketball, MSU is getting the shaft from the zebras. Butler is getting absolutely every call, and the disparity in team fouls is ridiculous right now (9 on MSU to 4 on Butler).

Butler, not MSU, is the team that played in the Final Four last year, right now. State is just getting frustrated really easily, while Butler is looking pretty composed. They look good so far.
