Imagine the riot if Roman Reigns goes over tonight.

Also, will Goldberg have his usual 2 minute match or go long distance and go 7 minutes?

Plus: this Mania ramp is the longest one ever. The Undertaker match may not start until midnight.

Remember the last time they went more than 5 minutes?

13:43 which was bloated because they were awkwardly and staring each other down for 6 minutes and doing eskimo kisses?

I remember being so excited for that match as a kid only for it to be the biggest wet fart match in WrestleMania history with all the hype it had.

I think Reigns does, indeed, go over, because VKM has been shoving him down fans' throats for the last couple of years.  And from HHH's recent comments, they don't care that more than half of the arena boos their top "face."

This might have been brought up on the board, but the Detroit News did a huge oral history of Wrestlemania 3 at the old Silverdome back in the 80s. Absolutely fascinating and hilarious story. The main event was Hulk Hogan v Andre the Giant. Great read.

C'mon, Game of Thrones has stories about cities being leveled by flying dragons, protagonists being arisen from the dead by magic, and kingdoms being protected from mystical snow monsters by a 400 foot high ice wall that spans a continent.  You're saying those are more plausible than what you see in professional wrestl....

Your point is well taken.

Yeah. I mean, there is a WM thread almost every year. If we can have lame, daily soccer threads, I'm sure it's OK to have a thread for WM, which happens once a year.

But soccer is a real sport.  Wrestling is soap opera silliness for kids and adults.  I admit, I have fun watching wrestlemania, but lets not put down soccer.  The whole board knows you and Magnus don't like it.  No need to tell us about it on every thread.

I rarely mention my disdain for the awful sport soccer is, but my post above about fit nicely. Also, there is nothing fake about the act of wrestling. Yes, everyone knows it's scripted, but the physicality of it is real. Major injuries (sometimes career-ending) occur quite often. WWE is much more difficult than soccer and I don't even think that can be debated.

I haven't really watched much wrestling over the past couple years but I am making an event out of tonight. Excited to see Shane O'Mac featured in the opener. Like his father, he always delivers way more than necessary in the ring.
