As I was saying...

[Hit THE JUMP for the best moments from the Minnesota and Wisconsin games.]

HONORABLE MENTION

Still too many to list, though I crammed a bunch of extra GIFs into the countdown. Head on over to my gfycat library for more; you can keyword search by player, "Big Ten Tournament," and opponent.

20. Swish 'n Smack

More of Derrick Walton's fine work can be seen here and here.

19. Irvin Rides The Baseline

He's got that reverse going strong lately.

18. Wagner Flips The Script

The slip helped establish great post position, but I still be like dang. That doesn't happen often to Ethan Happ.

17. Xpectations Rising

Not sure whether the layup against the Big Ten's best shot-blocker...

...or the assist on this absurd passing angle...

...is the more encouraging sign.

16. Avert Your Eyes

The Big Ten's coach of the year is a bit flummoxed.

15. Death From Above

It's safe to say the drive-and-kick-and-drive-and-kick threw Wisconsin's defense off.

14. Ballgame

It's over.

Alright, now it's really over.

13. Go Go Gadget Arms

Reminder for NBA scouts: DJ Wilson is 5'9" and the rest is hair.

12. Bounce

Sure, let's post some more Walton assists.

11. Moe Buckets

Moe. Moe still.

10. SURPRISE BLOCK PARTY

Everybody's invited.

9. Zak Irvin Redemption Tour

From outside...

...and in.

8. Totally Intentional Windmill Layup

Heh.

7. Champs

Barring another remarkable tourney run, it's going to be tough to top this for pure, unadulterated joy.

6. Scream + Side-Eye

I wasn't even going to clip this and then I saw Andrew Dakich's face.

5. Shooter's Bounce

Doink.

4. Filthy

I have no idea how Walton managed to rise up square to the hoop after all that.

3. Dagger and Dance

In full:

The FWJ feature cut:

The shot deserves another look too:

2. LOL, Walton

Goodness gracious:

Wagner's reaction:

FRAMES OF THE GAMES: A DIZZYING DISPLAY

Derrick Walton, MVP.

Fred Wright-Jones, GIF MVP.

The Man Down T…

because at the time it was so needed.  This team is on fire.  With the resurgance of Irvin and if Wagner can stay out of cheap foul trouble, this team will be very hard to beat.  You can beat them only if you play your best "A" game and then maybe not even then

Filthy is the winner to me.  So many broken ankels McDavid called him to say thanks.

It's hard to watch those clips and not think something special could happen over the next 3 weeks.  Regardless of how many more games this team plays, this could go down as one of, if not my most, favorite MBB team for the amount they've grown this year in half a season and for the joy with which they've been playing.

To think this team is way better than the one that smoked Marquette and SMU to open the year...just wow.

They're all primed for another outburst and are totally flabbergasted. Fred Wright-Jones immediately goes hand-over-mouth, Dakich & X are frozen locked arm and arm, and Chris Hunter looks liked he's going to bust up laughing too.

Wow, this is tough.  One of the deepest fields ever.  When Bounce is only seeded #12 and Surprise Block Party #10...

Scream + Side-eye and Avert Your Eyes would normally be considered classics but in this compilation they get lost in the crowd.
